Realistically, 35mm FILM cameras are overpriced

Here's one way of looking at it:
My digital camera, at this point, has cost about a dollar and a quarter per

In Sweden, the list price of the FA 24-90 is 7800:- SEK.
As a comparision, the Nikon AF Nikkor 24-85 f/2,8-4 cost 7900:-. (only
1/2 f-stop faster at 24mm). In a recent test by the swedish magazine
FOTO, the Nikkor didn't do so well. Sharpness and mechanical
construction was very good, but the

the performance of the lens is compared to the cheap Nikon and even cheaper

Keppler's SLR column is all about the new trend to zooms starting at 24mm.
