Well, adding USB2 usually consists in adding a new card inside the PC

Never had that problem with my 1800. It's pretty new, less than 6 mos, and I
haven't printed a lot on it, but it worked great from the very first print.

USB 1 or 2 is a function of the computer hardware/bios/motherboard
architecture, not the OS. What type computer and what processor. How old is
it?

Hi gang.
Last month i took my PC into the local shop to add more Ram (was 256,
now 728 DRAM) and to upgrade my 4 USB 1.1 connections to USB 2
connections. After rebooting to check the Ram, he looked at my system,
and said because i have XP and Service Pack II i should have USB 2.

My fairly new Epson R1800 is producing a VERY dark initial print.
Second print, etc. are fine.

Thanks, Marnie.
I've reduced the exif info to just the basics.
The thumbnails would be smaller with more images. So,
I thought since I had the room I'm make them a bit
bigger. With more files, I'll reduce their size or
maybe just find a standard size that works.

You're right, Boris.
The index page is goofy on Firefox. Mine shifts the
index view all the way to right. The detail view is
fine.
I'll see if I can mess with it.
Thanks again for the heads-up.

I have four batteries, and no two are the same brand. They all seem
to last about the same, although it's hard to tell because I use them
two at a time. I doubt that there's any real difference between
brands. The cheapest ones from B&H or a similar vendor should be just
fine.

It's probably the same battery as the Impact and other names. Should
be fine. I've used other CTA branded batteries with no problems in
other cameras.
