DNG isn't as universal as Adobe claims. There are quirks. I'm pretty
sure that Adobe codes to take all of those into account, but other
software won't even try for fear of failure. I can convert the PEFs
from the *ist-D and Ds into DNG and some applications will open them but
others fail
This has been a very cool series and its nice to see that they are out
of the nest. Last summer some cardinals nested in my neighbors yard -
the parents were feeding and tending to them for weeks after they left
the nest, so some more photo opportunities might be coming...

I ended up saving up and got the K3II. I have come across what may or
may not be an issue. I posted this to the Pentax Forum but I haven't
heard from anyone yet so thought I would see if anyone here might have
an answer.
I was downloading images to my computer from this weekends outings. I

DNG Converter works on a folder of images but you can convert a single file if
the folder only contains one image.
The problem could be a compatibility issue. I'm away from my PC at present but,
if I recall correctly, you need to select (in the preferences) the correct
compatibility for whatever

Thanks Jack and yes it is contrived - I thought about a composition rather
than shooting the entire wall - in that sense all of my images are
contrived.

Thanks John. I did think of that, but too late. Even before I started with my
restoration attempt it had been soaked and mostly still damp for way too long
since the event. So the edges, in about 2”, had already lifted from the glass.
And with only minimal damage to the emulsion which is what
A friend of mine, who is still on Lightroom 4 is having trouble processing raw
files from an Olympus. I've cc'd her on this email. Does anyone have
suggestions?

What I could see of it was pretty good. Effin' fakebook blocked it off
about half-way through with a "sign in" popup.
