Sorry to hear that Mark: you may recall I lost my daughter to pancreatic cancer
7 years ago. Those years are never easy having to
deal with such an awful disease.

Thanks. She was in California staying with Lisa's sister in 2020 when she
started having problems. A visit to the local Urgent Care
and an ultrasound revealed a mass on the pancreas and Lisa said "get your ass
to Boston NOW" (or words to that effect). She arrived
*two days* before Logan airport shut down for the peak of the pandemic.
Diagnosed at age 92 and made it well past her 94th birthday.
An amazing woman.

Of course, having a cancer patient in the house meant Lisa and I were "extra
locked down" because we couldn't afford to bring Covid
back home to her. Very stressful couple of years. We've really spent the last 6
months or so coming out of our shell.

Re: Mouse/trackball question

2023-03-16 Thread Otis C. Wright, Jr.
Have two of the M575s in use, a spare, and an older version. All have
worked just fine for me.  However, bearings and sensor window do seem to
need periodic cleaning.   Track ball pops out easily to enable cleaning
and pops back in with no problem, for me anyway. Went with trackball
some years ago as mouse and pad just didn't work in my preferred workspace.

Thanks for the offer, Mark!

Mine has the ball on the side, so that one uses one’s thumb. The fingers are
for buttons and a scroll wheel.

I took the thing apart, gave it a good cleaning, and it seems to be working
okay again.
