The gulls make the picture. Before you tripped the shutter, were you
hoping for gulls to fly into the frame?

Congrats on the film camera. The last Pentax camera I got was the PZ1-p.
The MZ S is small compared to the PZ1-P.

People come up and admire my Leica M4. They believe I am a great
photographer because I have a Leica in my hands. They don't react to me
when I hold my LX. I can't see the name Pentax getting any special
recognition for its name.

Compatibility has been the major issue for me since the *ist D came out. I
know about the firmware upgrade that will allow the use of the older K and M
lenses, but that never really satisfied me.

I got mine rather late in Pentax history. It is a heavy beast. And, like
you said, the AF is very noisy. My first AF camera was the Canon EOS-RT,
the one with a pellicle mirror. I think Canon did a much better job with
their first AF cameras then Pentax. My favorite Pentax AF is the PZ1-p.
My allergies are acting up.

At least a majority of stereo photographers attending the National Stereo
Association convention in Portland, Oregon USA use film. We had lots of
film turned in for processing. All of the film was for E-6 processing.

I have the K2DMD - and the MD unit that went with it. I originally had the

use the MD because the winder on my LX is much better.

I saw an Alpa body, that took M42 mount lenses, at a swap meet a few years
ago. It looked like the Chinon Mematron. I owned a Mematron body because
it allow AE with pre-SMC Super Takumar lenses. The camera came out, I

I have some Leica screw mount bodies, and Leica copies I am selling soon.
My Pentax ES and ESII's I will keep because of all the SMC Takumars I own.
I will sell my K2DMD and motor and keep my LX. My 645 I will keep.
I have an Optio 230 digital.
