I am fully aware of that. I was aiming my post at the "other" brands who use

Double yes!
(I have an A-20/2.8 and an FA*24/2.0 and I wouldn't part with
*either* of them.)

Would this argue _against_ it being a Limited?? I mean, so far,
all the Limiteds have been new and unique

So far, all the Limiteds have been new and unique focal lengths, have they
not? And from
what I hear, that was a deliberate part of the prospectus for the Limited
lenses--or is this not so?

If the SLR uses 35mm-system lenses then a "normal" lens would be about

I think you're mixing thing up here

How unique can it possible be and
I think the new reported FA 18mm will be a great thing regarding the
Pentax system.
1. It is not as radical as the 15mm wides of the other companies,

I thought Pentax was still making the SMC-A 15mm f/3.5. If not, there must
still be a fair bit of old stock sitting around as last time I looked they were
available from B+H.

Hi,
Why are the old SMC 18/3.5s so hard to find? I've seen two in two years:
One for $450, the other for $400. According to Boz's chart, the 18/3.5 was
made for something like ten years. Where are they hiding? Let's hope the
new 18 will flush them out into the used market.
there's one here:
