Stan, Just one question/comment: Why would you have an external SSD and internal HD? While I don't have my own experience with Thunderbolt, all other interfaces (USB 3.0, eSATA, FW-400, FW-800, and even FW-3200) are inferior to SATA-3 (not counting SAS-600 which is nominally on par with SATA3)
