Re: PESO: Lake Hayes

2022-03-03 Thread David Mann
Thanks for the comments, you probably missed the first version as I overwrote
both files when I "fixed" it.

I just dug out the film... it was Fuji Provia 100F. I'd love to use my 6x7
again but the film & processing are getting expensive. And I really don't miss
the hassle of film scanning. Getting rid of the dust from these scans is not
the most exciting of jobs.

Cheers,
Dave

The second one (1141) works Ok as a semi-panorama, but for me, it
somewhat loses the context of that rope swing thingy hanging from the
tree branch.

I prefer the first (1140) one.

There is a bit more detail in the sky but I was having trouble with some slight
colour shifts so I let it blow out a bit. Haven't checked the tree but I
intended it to be a silhouette anyway.

No preference here.

Is there some detail in the tree or sky that is on the negative, but didn’t
come out in the scan?

David, I prefer the uncropped version.

That 6X7 was a magnificent monster of a camera, wasn't it?
