Thanks to those that replied. Hopefully the camera will arrive soon,
and I will be able to try it out!

Bibble (PEF, beta version)
Actually, there is now an official Bibble version v4.9.5 which works with
K10D. And it can process both PEF and DNG files from K10D.

Now that I have decided to take the plunge (thanks to re-instated
wireless support), I just wanted to check something.
I have Adobe CS2 and use Adobe Camera Raw for all my RAW processing from
the istD.
I seem to recall seeing mention that this doesn't support the PEF files
from the K10D though -

Rob: Correct. But presumably this will come in the next release.

If so then presumably
If you shoot RAW/DNG with your K10D you'll be able to use ACR to proces the
files. The only downside is that the DNG files are larger than PEFs because
they're not compressed. However, if you want to compress them for storage, you
can do so with the Adobe DNG converter. I don't bother, but may
- Set your K10D to RAW/DNG format.
- Process in Camera Raw, any version greater than v2.4 will do.
or
- Set your K10D to RAW/PEF format.
- After transferring the PEF files to your computer, run Pentax Photo
Browser/Lab, select the files you want, and convert them to DNG format.
In either case,
btw: You can also generate new DNG files with lossless compression
applied directly from Camera Raw.
