Ok, I'll just come out and say it: I like the customized color options on the
Q7; I'd take one with lime green body and sky blue grip.
I haven't window shopped for camera gear in quite a while, so I had a quick
scroll through the Pentax offerings, and I have to say, the prices have gone up

I'm not entirely sure what was the point going from the K30 to the K50.
Overcoming the fugly design of the K30 was probably the main

K50 is +1EV ISO-sensitivity.
And it is Eye-Fi card enabled, whatever that means.
I thought Eye-Fi cards could be used in every camera. Been using it in
my K-5 for some time now.

I didn't think it was fugly, but I did think it had been designed by
Warner Bro.s for Marvin the Martian...
Pentax was just trying to be fashion forward, remember it was released
about the same time as the K-01, and the in house guys had something to
prove, though I'm not quite sure what that
It's a bullet point, like caffeine free root beer, or ginger ale, both
of which have always been caffeine free. It seems that all cameras that
can accept Eye-Fi cards have always been Eye-Fi enabled...

Pessimist! They just released 120 at one shot!

We're up to three. But the differences between the K-30, K-50 and K-500
once you look past the body shell are subtle to say the least. I guess
Pentax is actually making money on the Q system.
Any guesses at what comes next? 645D K-3 Full frame? or APS-C 24mp.
I'm not going to say I'm

Well we've already passed 5 for this year IF you count the WG-3,
WG-3 GPS, WG-10, MX-1, and now these three new models (Q-7, K-50,
K-500). I heard that a 645D II was in the works many moons ago, but it
hasn't shown up yet. I'm not sure what classification(s) of camera the
5 new models was supposed
I have been told by someone with connections to Pentax Japan that the K5
replacement will be ready for Christmas. I don't know any other details, but
would expect a 20 - 24mp APS-C body. As for the 645DII (or whatever it is
called) I guess that will also depend on sensor availability but I

Sensor availability, Pentax used a Kodak sensor in the 645D and Kodak
spun that division off, on it's long slide into oblivion, Pentax may
have a long term agreement with the successor company, which could be
having difficulties producing a next generation chip without the great
yellow mother
