My KP arrived. I'm impressed by the image quality and the many many options. I think I'll permanently mount my DA35 macro to the KP and no more crawling in the mud for macro's with this combo. Toine On 7 July 2018 at 01:20, Zos Xavius wrote: > Oh yeah. SR works in movie mode on the K-5 too.

Oh yeah. SR works in movie mode on the K-5 too. That alone makes up for the lack of manual mode IMO. For the most part you can get away with autoexposure and exposure locking when appropriate. The files are huge and it only records for 5 minutes, but 80mbs is much better than the 18 or so the K-3

My K-5 IIs is still getting regular constant use and to be honest I prefer its IQ over the K-3 somewhat except in the best light. At night that camera is a handheld beast though I will concede that the SR is a little better on the K-3. Still I can get down to 1/6th or more pretty easily depending

I think I'd take a K70 over a KP, they have almost the same sensor, pretty much the same features, but a more useful flip out screen on the K70, the same battery ,  but I'm pretty sure better battery life on the K70.  More importantly every grip that the KP to comes with is reported to be less

Good luck with your choice. I like the small size of the KP, it looks almost a system camera. Henk Op 2018-07-04 om 18:56 schreef Toine: I ordered one. for 699 I couldn't resist. On 3 July 2018 at 12:52, Henk Terhell wrote: Toine, I don't own the KP, but it would be my choice on APS-C

Toine, I don't own the KP, but it would be my choice on APS-C considering it is at present 100 euro cheaper than the K3-II. Of course you can wait till a new flagship but it definitely will take time before it is locally availabe. As you say, a tilting screen is so useful in many situations,

The recent cash back action made me wonder if I should upgrade my 6 year old K5 to the KP. Full frame is not what I need since most of my glass isn't full frame. Which results in the K3-II as the only other option. What I don't like on the KP is the small new battery size and the missing LCD
