A while back a couple of people were trying to unload their old Spyder
colorimeters for cheap. Anyone still have one and is willing to part
with it? I have a friend who needs one.

Being old doesn't
Well, I think my idea won't work. Turns out my friend has a relatively
new iMac and I'm pretty sure it's a LED backlit display. Whatever
calibrator she gets must work with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion *and* LED
backlight.
According to http://spyder.datacolor.com/support-osx-lion.php only the
latest gen
You can get spider 3 software for true spyder2 from Datacolor, and it will work
with Lion. The sensor supposedly doesn't' work right with LED backlit displays,
but it did a good job on my IMac 27 until I installed Lion. A Spyder 4, which
works very well with both Lion and the backlit LED
