thanks Henk. it wasn't so difficult to spot in the wild because they
usually roost in the same trees every day and are almost blind during
daytime. the forest rangers usually know where they roost. but they
are difficult photograph because on top a very cloudy/rainy day, they
usually roost deep ins
Subash, interesting story and nice pictures.
I didn't realize there were so many frogmouth species. Must be a real
challenge to spot in the wild.
The only frogmouth species I have ever seen was on my trip to south
Australia, the tawny frogmouth of which I took a picture:
