Hi Pieter,
Normally a fixinfo.type of 4 means your display is planar rather than linear.
PicoGUI should support this if you have the "vgaplan4" Video Base Library enabled.

Got x11 video output working right away, without any problems. (CVS 13-2-2003)
But I have to use the framebuffer device.
When I start pgserver with '-v fbdev', I get an unsupported color depth error.
I've found the source of this problem, in the file
/pgserver/video/fbde
