In my continuing project to digitize the many cassette tapes I recorded or
acquired back in the 1970s and 80, I just finished converting a recording
of the August 1984 MAPS (Michigan Antique Phonograph Society) Phonovention
Banquet where the guest speaker was my close friend the Rev. John

I Searched through my piles of photos of my trips to both Sedona and to Ft.
Myers to visit Wendell (and I even seem to remember one at the only
Orlando show I attended) but I can't seem to find any. I scanned hundreds of

I just got my December issue of The Antique Phonograph, which incorporates
the former In The Groove. The column that I submitted for October ITG
appears in this issue. As with all things that change, unexpected things

I'm posting this here because Les Paul always acknowledged Edison as the
Greatest Inventor. (And Paul actually recorded some Edison wax cylinders in
the 1990s (at the Edison Site in West Orange) - though they have yet to be
released. So see here for details and sign the petition.
Wendell did some subsequent reprints of Edison Amberol Monthly - I seem to
remember 5 or 6 issues. They were not bound and were high quality
photocopies. Whatever they were, I bought them though can't easily put my
fingers on
them.
At the same time he did color repros of a few Voice of
