[PHP-DEV] correction request in phpinfo()
Hi! Please reverse my name in the PHPinfo() output. I am listed in the PHP Website Team in the first place (alphabetical order). Although I am listed as Hojtsy Gabor, my family name is Hojtsy and my given name is Gabor. So the correct order is Gabor Hojtsy for my name. In Hungary we use the family name, given name order to write our names. This is not right in an international environment. I have no Karma to write into php4, I have only phpweb and phpdoc Karma. Re: [PHP-DEV] Re: Security e-mail address
we were going to set up [EMAIL PROTECTED] at one point with a closed list of recieptients.. mainly core devs and a few QA People who can check out if it is a security problem or not. Dont think this ever happen. Perhaps it would be an idea though +1 Goba -- PHP Development Mailing List http://www.php.net/ To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To contact the list administrators, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[PHP-DEV] PHP extensions dinamic list
Hi! This is a feature request. I would like to ask you to include the script above as a php_extensions() function or something like this in the default PHP setup. This script is from php4win.de, and a very useful piece of code to debug the script, maybe it is as useful as phpinfo() is, as it gives you much information about the extensions working currently. [PHP-DEV] Re: Virus-detected on germany(Schlund und Partner)
This is, in fact, a false positive. None of the officially released PHP files contain virii. You could also just delete that file, unless you need the mhash functions. IMHO, the php-dev people should put in a txt file to the windows package, that this virus is not there, so people wont try to report it again (as we get many false reports like that). I'm comming from Austria an I downloaded the file PHP 4.0.6 zip package from Schlund und Partner. When I unzip the file my AnitVir Personal programm detected a virus in the file extentions/PHP_MASH.dll. The virus was identivied as BDS/B02K.RC6. Please update this file, so that the virus is not available for other users anmore. -- PHP Development Mailing List http://www.php.net/ To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To contact the list administrators, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[PHP-DEV] Fw: Windows Binary -- what does it include
Can the php-dev people give us some more in-dept about this subject? Then we can put this up online. Thanks, Goba [php.net website team] - Original Message - From: Tac/Smokescreen [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, September 14, 2001 3:43 PM Subject: Windows Binary -- what does it include Thanks for a great site. Would it be possible to add more details to the Windows binary description, in particular what modules/versions are compiled in? I'm thrilled that the most recent version now includes Sablotron, but it appears to be an older version of it. Sablotron 0.65 is now the current version. Looks like other modules were added as well, like spelling. It would be great if that stuff was on the site somewhere. Thanks! [PHP-DEV] accomodation in Frankfurt (PHP Conference)
Hi! I would like to attend the second PHP Conference in Frankfurt November 5-6-7. They have a low conference price for university students like me, but the Hotel bills are higher. [PHP-DEV] Chora and CVSWeb problems
Hi! Problem #1 -- Text diff is not working at Chora, at least with IE 5.00, as it thinks that it needs to display XML content, and just prints out an XML error. Just the Human readable one works... :(( Problem #2 -- Someone reported a Chora error at [EMAIL PROTECTED] It seems he uses Konqueror, and Chora can't find the default language file to display for him: | Warning: Undefined index: defaults | in /usr/local/www/chora.php.net/horde/lib/Lang.php on line 42 | | Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by | (output started at /usr/local/www/chora.php.net/horde/lib/Lang.php:42) | in /usr/local/www/chora.php.net/horde/lib/Lang.php on line 64 | | [snip] Problem #3 -- I tried to reach the old CVSWeb interface at http://cvsweb.php.net/ but it tries to open some PHP programs, and just don't work. Re: [PHP-DEV] Chora and CVSWeb problems
Text diff is not working at Chora, at least with IE 5.00, as it thinks that it needs to display XML content, and just prints out an XML error. Just the Human readable one works... :(( Please elaborate. Is this not working for any files, or only specific files (with an XML extension) I have tried the phpdoc files, one XML for example: http://cvs.php.net/diff.php/phpdoc/en/functions/com.xml?r1=0tr1=1.18f=ur2 =0tr2=1.20 One not XML (.ent) for example: http://cvs.php.net/diff.php/phpdoc/en/language-defs.ent?r1=0tr1=1.1f=ur2= 0tr2=1.7 and only with IE 5.00? Sorry, I don't have any other browser now to test, you can test with the links above. And what do you mean XML Error ? IE has an internal XML processor (exactly it is the processor named MSXML) It it finds an error, it just prints (viewing the page displayed with the last link): | The XML page cannot be displayed | | Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct | the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. | | Invalid at the top level of the document. Line 1, Position 1 | = | ^ | Maybe Chora puts out an XML content type header, or something, that makes IE think this is XML (as it is not). I can't see the source, as IE just denies to show the source in such cases saying The XML source file is unavailable for viwing). [PHP-DEV] Re: [PHP-DOC] Fwd: Re: [PHP-DEV] Using $HTTP_SESSION_VARS with register_globals On
As I mentioned in my other message, $HTTP_SESSION_VARS value and the global value used to be references, but after some people complained about this fact on the list, it was changed.. I wouldn't mind reinstating it, but if we do, let's do it once and for all with very good reasons to avoid another such occurrence. Making them references is the right thing IMO. I think we should also write in the manual that people should use $HTTP_SESSION_VARS[]. (I haven't checked if this is written or not so it might be already). Ok, we'll make them references then. I hope someone documents it, though, because I don't have time right now. Aha. This caused some really bad 'bugs' in the new PHP release... I didn't know why it was bad... Please revert to the same method as $HTTP_*_VARS use... Goba ... . . . . . Aha. This caused some really bad 'bugs' in the new PHP release... I didn't know why it was bad... Please revert to the same method as $HTTP_*_VARS use... Excuse me? I'm quite confused by your message. Do you mean that $HTTP_SESSION_VARS['foo'] and $foo should not be references to the same value? $HTTP_GET_VARS['foo'] (get!!) and $foo are references to the same value now... I think... This should be the same for SESSION vars. This is not the case now if I understand the original letter well... I received some bug reports from PHP users complaining, that their session vars are working in global scope, but not in the $HTTP_SESSION_VARS[] array. The PHP code were correct... Goba ... . . . . . Re: [PHP-DEV] Fw: [PHP-DOC] cfunction?
This is a question for the php-dev people too. What are the other hidden features not documented like this? Check the code. This is simply a legacy feature there only for backward compatibility and should not be documented as we don't want people writing new scripts that use cfunction. Then why it is used in some scripts in the test dir in the distribution? Goba ... . . . . .
