I would be disappointed to see PSR-8 disappear.
It would be a smooth move to schedule a vote such that, should it pass, PSR-8
is accepted on April 1, 2018.
It is not a bad thing to have a joke or two.
HTTP 418 exists, after all.

We were discussing the status of various PSRs so we could see what
resources they needed and the like in one of our first monthly meetings and
when PSR-8 came up, we were aware it was stuck in Limbo (because of it's
nature) so we contacted the Editor [Larry] to discuss what he wanted to do
As mentioned at the ZendCon 2015 FIG meeting, the consensus of the group
was that PSRs can't really be withdrawn, as there are no rules for what
happens to the number, or what that status even really is. That was what
prompted the need for the additional bylaw, as it was an oversight on the
part

Hi all,
Measure: "Withdraw PSR-8 from consideration as a PSR."
I presume that the editor is willing, based on other conversations.
And since Micheal Cullum (as secretarial assistant) seems to be in the habit
now of reminding us when the two-week period of discussion is up, I look
forward to

TBH, I find this a bit scary. In fact
If only this had passed an acceptance vote, maybe we'd have a different
environment today if we had a few more hugs.

Hi all,
I am resigning my position as sponsor of PSR-8, the "Huggable" Interface. This
was a fun joke way-back-when, but its time has passed.
And if I may suggest it, perhaps the editor should voluntarily withdraw the PSR
from consideration.
Thanks everyone!
