That's probably not true even for large organisations. If you have your
(murder) infrastructure in place, you're not going to replace everything.

Yeah, I'll probably drop the versioned dependency on perl lib at all, it was
brought as an atempt to fix the ftbfs, but it's not needed since the bug lies
in invalid usage of croak() function highlighted by adding hardening...

Hi rest of inactive maintainers,
I suggest we drop the -X.Y versioning for next cyrus major release.
I think our migration scripts are mostly robust to handle the
transitions,
so I don't see any reason to keep those versions side to side.

And the work has been uploaded to experimental and pushed to git.
I'll do some more testing with the version in experimental and after
the current unstable version migrates to testing, I'll be uploading
the versionless to unstable.
