Package: kradio4
Version: 4.0.7-2+b2
Severity: normal

Dear maintainer,

Kradio plays internet radios as ugly sound with glitches and rattles

Recent updates makes kradio4 unusable, I cannot able to detect what
upgrade has caused the problem, but I can provide the steps to reproduce
the problem:

try to create and listen an internet radio station (I have tested mp3
streams) or more simply load a local mp3 file as internet radio station.
The result is the same.

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#586617: plasma-widget-networkmanagement: significant usability problems on high DPI display

2014-08-16 Thread Maximiliano Curia
Hi,

The reported widget was replaced with plasma-nm, so this is a friendly ping to
ask the submitter or anyone with a high DPI display to please test plasma-nm
and report us if the usability problems are fixed now.

With the increasing popularity of retina and 4k monitors I think
this kind of issues are going to pop up everywhere, the efforts in KDE to fix
this kind of issues can be followed in:
https://community.kde.org/KDE/High-dpi_issues
Which lists a pending reviewboard for plasma NM.

Also, a particular bug related this issue was fixed in:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327759

Happy hacking,

Package: plasma-widget-networkmanagement
Version: 0.9.0.1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When using the widget to import an openvpn connection, the cipher is not set
correctly.
Tested on two .ovpn configs both using aes-128-cbc but after import one is set
to default the other set to blank.
Manually setting the cipher after import fixes the issue.

If the user does not check though it seems to still make a connection and setup
the route table,
however no traffic is routed.

note: this may be an upstream bug, not certain, but the same issue is
reproducable on another (arch linux) distro.

Dear Maintainer,

now that plasma-widget-networkmanagement support openconnect VPNs, it should

Package: plasma-widget-networkmanagement

Dear Maintainer,

when I use systemd as my init system, the Network Manager Applet fails to
re-establish the WLAN connection when coming back from suspend to RAM.

Steps to reproduce:
* Connect to some wireless network
* Suspend to RAM
* Resume

Expected Behaviour:
It should ask for the password in order to re-connect to the wireless.

Actual Behaviour:
It just pretends the connection was still available. This may work out
if the machine was suspended for a very short time only and not moved,
but if I moved to another room where another AP serves the same SSID,
or if the machine was suspended for more than just a few minutes,
I have to manually disconnetc and reconnect to the wireless network.

I do not know which part of the stack is responsible for this re-connection
on resume, hence I reported this in the user-facing component.

Kind regards
Ralf

Hi,

I don't see this as an issue, but upstream made the wireless and modem buttons
visible only when you have the corresponding hardware (in the version 0.9.3.4,
which I'm preparing to upload), but the airplane button is still visible.

If you still consider this worthwhile, please forward the feature request
upstream.

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#758326: amarok: Use pkg-config to determine FFmpeg linker flags

2014-08-16 Thread Andreas Cadhalpun

Source: amarok
Version: 2.8.0-2
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch
Usertags: reintroducing-ffmpeg

Dear maintainer,

I am working on reintroducing FFmpeg to Debian [1-2].

In order to make FFmpeg co-installable with Libav, the libraries were
renamed to lib*-ffmpeg. Thus using linker flags like '-lavcodec' doesn't
work with the FFmpeg packages.

To get the correct linking flags for both FFmpeg and Libav, one can
(and should) use pkg-config.

Attached patch achieves that for this package. Please apply it to
facilitate building your package with FFmpeg in Debian.

If you want to facilitate this even further, you can also add
lib*-ffmpeg-dev alternatives to the Libav build-dependencies.

While the FFmpeg package is still waiting in the NEW queue [3], it can
already be built from the git repository [4].

Best regards,
Andreas

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#758368: strigi: Use pkg-config to determine FFmpeg linker flags

2014-08-16 Thread Andreas Cadhalpun

Source: strigi
Version: 0.7.8-1.2

Best regards,
Andreas
