This bug is fixed upstream in k3b 2.0.1, see also
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=236466 and
http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=1144817.
Any chance to get this fix cherry picked for sqeeze?
Thanks,
Thomas

Hello Ric,
can you provide a testcase for this bug?
Looking at the latex syntax file only showed that both $ and \( should
behave equivalently. And my short testing also didn't help.
Are you using the current (1.41) version of the syntax file?

Two days ago we released the beta1 version of kile 2.1. This version
could need some broader testing and is also considered worth a try and also
more stable than the current svn snapshot in debian.
Thanks,

Hi,
this bug is already fixed in upstream svn.
@Debian KDE Extras Team: It would be good to update the svn snapshot as we
currently get quite some complaints about this bug.
Thanks :)

Hi,
I can't reproduce your bug here and looking at the code also gives no clue
where the error lies.
So please give a step by step instruction how to reproduce the bug.
Thanks,

Hi Arash,
this bug should be solved in the new 2.0.3 version of kile.
To verify that you can compile kile from source.
Get it from kile.sf.net. Some compile help is available from
http://kile.sourceforge.net/help.php.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, please tell me

Hi,
this is a kate bug, and you get the same behaviour in kate. I will open a bug
report against kate and reference it here.
You can (somehow) work around that you activate "double quotes" in
configure->latex->general.
Now if you type " you get "` and from the next " you get "` in this way you
