Hello, Can somebody help me to set up a basic linux system (in Quezon City.MM). I'd like to have installed Sylpheed (or other maildir system), a browser, a html composer/editor, and Java JDK. At present. I have Debian etch installed (from CD) -but my dial-up internet connection is very bad.

There's another buzz that inq7.net would soon be relaunched. I heard that this had been announced right on 24 Oras, Channel 7's primetime newscast. My hunch is that Inquirer and GMA7 are quite busy right now preparing for the election coverage. They will collaborate with PLDT and other outfits
