Can somebody help me to set up a basic linux system (in Quezon City.MM). I'd
like to have installed Sylpheed (or other maildir system), a browser, a html
composer/editor, and Java JDK.
At present. I have Debian etch installed (from CD) -but my dial-up internet
connection is very bad.
Word is GMA and Inq have gone their separate ways on this. That's why the
inq7.net page says gives you a choice of whether to go to inquirer.net or
gmanews.tv

There's another buzz that inq7.net would soon be relaunched. I heard
that this had been announced right on 24 Oras, Channel 7's primetime
newscast.
My hunch is that Inquirer and GMA7 are quite busy right now preparing
for the election coverage. They will collaborate with PLDT and other
