There is lot of manipulation that goes on between free & open source releases of different distributions as well, though hardly anybody may agree with it. Time stamp of new kernel release (& associated reasearch) is guide for journey of last few years... Time of day newer kernel gets released

Don't know how many will believe this but ... USB boot was using SDRam card of 4.0 GB inserted in camera type adapter. The card "received free" along Fly F-32 phone that was bought in year 2013 at Ponda GOA. On same card I tried almost all other distributions previously Mint, CentOS as well
