There is lot of manipulation that goes on between free & open source releases

4.16.0-20-generic installed by Mint.
I did not format /boot while installing Mageia 6.1 and that is it...
Mageia 6.1 is still on 4.14.121-desktop version.

Was finally able to boot back into Mageia 6.1 today.
While booting it shows "Linux Mint" splash (after boot selection...) which must
remained somewhere during attempts of CentOS, OpenSuSE, Mageia 6/7, Linux Mint
Mate (मते = votes)

When I was installing Mageia 6.1 why should grub use kernel of Mint lying in
/boot directory preferentially?
It is for Mageia's core owners' team to address such questions themselves
before making choices of abandoning the Old faithful (in this case LILO) in
favour of noise making biased
Officially "Pune Linux Users' Group" showing up as "Pune GNU/Linux Users'
Group" has lot of implications that PLUG trust members should care about.

Ever since it was officially named "Pune Linux User's Group" as against wishes
of some prominent members the fight continues at different plane of reference
and we have also lost some members to that fact although most don't know
anything about such planes of references.
Crusaders of GNU/Linux
Linus Torvalds did not plan changing world by simple kernel coding...
Neither he though first Google & later Even Microsoft will think of using it...

I hope by this time during this whole exercise you must have realized that
dont mess up with partitions.
And more importantly, plan what you want to achieve.
And even more important is to get enough knowledge on how things will work
before the plan.

If I try to boot Mageia 6.1 installed kernel which 4.14.121 display is
so dark that I practically use torch to see what is happening beneath
the darkness presented by the screen. Since I could see some movement
below I really it is booting albeit with wrong display parameters.
