What version of AlienBBC are you using ?
With the iPlayemenu menu support there is a separate Search facility
which is provided by BBC.
The keypad menu search was avbailable for AlienBBC on SS 6.5 but IIRC
it is not available for SC 7.x

Recent problem occurred with the 'two lines' display.
I have all elements set to blank, except 'top left' and 'bottom right'
'Bottom left' defined as blank, also shows 'TRACKNUM.TITLE by ARTIST
from ALBUM', and it scrolls

cparker, the Dynamic Playlist integration seems to be pretty broken in
the latest release, especially when dynamic playlists are used as
favorites. The attached patch should solve this.
The problem were:
- SugarCube Dynamic Playlist as favorite results in that nothing was
played

Squeezecenter - it does not

That's the plan, the feature. It's the reason for all the issues we've seen.
This feature is to not leave a blank bottom left corner. I don't see any reason
why anyone would want to have it

iPlayer option, which I do use. But sometimes it would be just easier to
go to Radio 1 and then press 6 to skip to 'M' and just browse there
quickly.

Upgrades doesn't seem to work with latest 7.3 svn, I just get a message
like this:
(v) - Failed to install (could not download file)
If I remove the old version, restart SqueezeCenter and then select to
install the new version everything seems to work correctly.

The rating information is stored differently in the SqueezeCenter
database. It will probably be a bit faster when ratings are officially
supported in standard SqueezeCenter (enhancement report #142 at
bugs.slimdevices.com)

did not appear in Plug-ins, so I installed SDT 5.8.0, restarted SC,

The core SC has two modes - alphabetical which is supposed to be used
when the list is sorted and number based when it is not. I think we
may be able to make it do the alphabetical one but we would need to
have sorted lists (which we don't all the time?)

have a couple of major items (Schedules and Categories) at the top, and
then an alphabetical list of the programmes.
The Live Streams are a non-alphabetical mishmash in the order of the
stations importance: I guess the only
AlienBBC does special handling to present the Categories and Schedules
but otherwise the menus are extracted from the BBC iPlayer web pages.
The Alternate Listen Again menu are derived from BBC XML feed for the
programs.
The order of the menu items are as per the BBC supplies them.

It looks like the WHS box has the same firewall settings as the PC
(slimserver is installed on both) - so the both allow the standard
squeezecenter services. If the WHS box is blocking softsqueeze - can I
allow that on the WHS box if the program isn't running on that machine?

For what it's worth, I can connect with SoftSqueeze on my PC to
