:-) you are right. The date isn't correct. I picked the wrong revision
file which has an old date. Won't happen again ;-)

Gotcha. Now I'm curious, what's the date on information tab in LMS
settings after the version number? I'm seeing "7.9.0 - 062.0009 @ Wed
Dec 2 04:06:50 UTC 2015"
I was running an early LmsUpdate around 12/4 and it displayed "7.9.0 -
1448979459 @ Wed Dec 2 04:06:50 UTC 2015"

No, --nomysqueezebox is not set.
Parameters look like this:
/bin/bash /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver_safe
For local playback I use CloudBeats. Simpy put some files in Dropbox and
add them to a CloudBeats playlist that you mark as download locally.
Also works with Owncloud.

I think that's what he's wanting-- current LmsUpdate is based on data
from early December correct?

It may have been that. Just looked again and I see there is a wifi web
upload to the iPhone now as well as the iTunes method. I don't like
iTunes - as a piece of software - so it may have been that. Is the web
upload new?

Thank you for all your work making LMS current for DSM5. Is there any
chance that you could make one more package with the current LMS 7.9
beta nightly? I have been told some bug fixes and improvements have been
implemented.
Thanks again

Now that's odd. Because that constant is called in LMS all over the
place. Are you running LMS with the --nomysqueezebox parameter?
Difficult to download music to the device.

I will have another look at that but I have tried it before and wasn't
keen for some reason. Can't remember what it was.

Up until now I have only ever used iPeng on an iPod touch and an iPhone

the hell I shall try iPeng on it.
Apart from the iPad itself being a bit slow
Hey, most intercontinental flights have internet these days :)
On audio: my impression is that really every device is different WRT
that.

Umm. I am flying to Istanbul then onto Singapore. Perhaps it will but
will it support the necessary VPN to my server? Better to be prepared
and assume not in both cases. 64gb should be enough but I shall have to

Yes, somewhere around the 20th of December. Most commits after that date
are related to 'remote server' or 'drag and drop'.

I use GoldenEar, I tried FLACPlayer and didn't like it due to
difficulties getting the files into my iPad (you had to use iTunes file
sync, which at the time was strictly file by file no entire directories,
don't know if it's any better now).
GoldenEar has a built in FTP server you can turn
