Yup that's exactly what I get too - it's certainly not exclusive mode,
which does work in Foobar (sorry i mistyped Foobar shared mode earlier).
Will dig some more tomorrow and look in the squeezelite thread.

WASAPI exclusive mode is very handy to prevent extraneous sounds from
interrupting, espec if it's turned up a bit!

Aha! This seems to work. I've set it to run a script on all playlist
events, and it checks for the player id, and the player mode, and it
runs "bluetoothctl connect ..." if it's not already

Latest news, I just tried my last resort action thanks to Kingwas
support and just flashed the Amanero USB board firmware with the latest
version, and IT WORKS !!!
Download the ConfigTool and associated Amanero FW from their site and
proceed according to the procedure listed on Audio-GDs
