Do you have to give control to SBS after every track? Or could you
perhaps scan, say, 5 tracks at a time?

That looks like a hanging symlink since libvorbisfile.so.6 doesn't
appear to exist.

It might not be strange. The flac executable is needed to transcode
your ALAC files to FLAC.

You shouldn't have to do anything to ignore them - just wait. If the
find command eventually comes back to the bash prompt without running
mplayer, then the mplayer file isn't being found.

seem to update the BIOS so it gets lost on reboot. I just went into
the BIOS at boot and set it directly.

I notice that cron doesn't run the backup.sh script in /etc/cron.daily
unless you copy/rename it to a file without the .sh suffix.

looked at executing passwd in S99bootlocal but that's even uglier. So
I think I'll go with your suggestion and just do the whole of /etc.
