Please check and see if this works!
Currently packages are only available for x86_64 and Armada375. The rest

Thanks Will,
I found out that the current repo I use is not compatible with DSM6 :-(
so I have to look for other options.
For now we have to stick with the manual download.

I installed it manually in the end. I can't seem to get the package to
show in DSM for some reason.

Just to say that I've installed the latest Repack to replace the Update
version. I've currently got the Update version stopped on DSM.

Hi KotBajun,
I noticed also that the LmsRepack builds didn't transcode streams
proberly. I made some changes to the build. On my nas, Armada375, this
issue is fixed. I uploaded a new build to the repo for x86_64 as well.
Please test if this fixes

Hi guys,
I have a problem with latest Lms version.
After installation of LmsRepack 7.9.1 my Touch stopped playing tracks.
It shows something like "File cannot be found"
I enabled debug logs for "player.source" and found out that LMS cannot
find files like

caused so problems with characters. If that is still valid, I don't
know. I don't use WAV and cue sheets. All
Another question, can LMS not deal with special characters in the
filenames? i.e. ä ö ü é è etc.
It can if they are correctly set. Transferring from Windows to Linux
using FTP or the like can easily break them, though.
But there's something else I hardly can believe: you have 16k tracks in

Hi maximus,
There might be more options I didn't mention. These are just 2. What you
want to achieve is to keep the playlist's out of the scan. Just see what
works for you.
-Synology nas DS115 - ('LmsUpdate'
OK. Don't quite understand why step 1 would be necessary since step 2
would rule out that it looks for playlists anywhere but the specified
folder, no?

Yes, so you have 7049 playlists in your library. You can easily disable
playlist extensions
Can you please explain first what 'playlist' exactly is in this context?
Because I have no playlists, only cue sheets. Is this expected behavior
that LMS treats these like playlists?

One last update: After the last scan clearly reported having finished in
the 'Information' - 'Media Scan Detail' section of the settings,
suddenly it restarted scanning again, doing pre-caching Artwork at

To follow up, ran a "Look for new and changed media files" scan now with
a couple hundred new files. This took just over an hour. 'Building full

half an hour, processes that take a mere seconds on my Mac so there's

I completely reset my NAS and copied my music collection back to the NAS

garbage that 7.7.6 did in 16 hours of writing to disks ;-)

pinkdot: Thanks, but it looks like the issue has been resolved. I
uninstalled the package, rebooted my machine and directly installed the
beta from the package center. Complete scan now took an hour including
15 minutes of database optimization, so this is approximately what I

I am completely new to NAS (416play), have been running my LMS over
desktop computers for years.
What are the main differences between the official package (7.7.6) and
the ones described here?
7.7.6 has been a complete nightmare, scanning of all albums (.wav -
.cue, about 6'000 albums) takes

No, it is Evansport, i686. For now, LmsUpate will stick to 7.9.0. It
will keep following Synology updates.
So: when Synology is updating to 7.9.1, LmsUpdate will be updated to

Hi all,
There is also a package available in the repo for intel (x86_64). You
should see it listed in the package center when the repo is added.
Just make sure before installing LmsRepack to stop any other instance of
LMS!
LmsRepack probably will start and run normally. But I'm not sure if

Hi all,
With all packages for DSM 4, 5 and 6 updated to the official 7.9.0, it
is time to test the repo again.
The LmsRepack is back for ARM-based nas and continuing with 7.9.1!
