Should the custom commands work on the Radio?
I have gone to the Server Power Control item on my Home Page, and
selected a command. SPC reports that it will run the command in 15
seconds, and then reports that it has run the command.
But the command is not actually run on my Mac.
I take it
Just updated the main plugin release to include this so you should be
able to update to version 1.1.8 of the released version in a few
minutes and still have this working.

You mean udp of some sort?
No, it's TCP. I stand corrected on Chris' plugin -- despite the http
string, it looks like his plugin is also using the text-based simple
telnet interface -- connect to TCP port 23 and each side exchanges
strings terminated by carriage returns.
Thank you! Seems to be working fine now.

Well if you test with telnet and get connection refused its usually
means it wont allow it at all. But it did reach it and got the i dont
like it back. Otherwise it would be established , although then it
aint a good way to communicate with it, it was only to test the
connection.

I just sent you an e-mail with the link to the file.

Is there a plugin that will work in WMC7 to play music from the
Squeezebox Server? And allow control from the Squeezebox Server?
If not, are there any devs willing to create one? I for one, would be
willing to donate $100 towards the development. Anyone else?

what are you trying to accomplish? Play music from SbS on your WIN7
computer with the control coming from SqueezeboxServer? You can do
this now. Just install SqueezePlay on your WIN 7 machine, within
SqueezePlay select SqueezePlay as the player (it can also be the

You could use Wireshark to capture packets between your PC and the amp.

I've spent a bit of time trying to get this to work on Windows 7 (64bit)
to no avail.
I see Spotify as an option on my Squeezebox but then every suboption
leads to connection timed out: bad file descriptor.
I wonder if it has something to do with DSBridge which is still running
on the PC?
It runs independently from the PC Spotify application - you should exit
this completely (so it it not still running in the task bar)
If you have a problem, please look for error messages in the helper
application log. You will find this on the settings web page - open
this up and paste here
Yes, i'll do that if it comes down to that. But perhaps the person would
share some information.

Hi
I know this is late, but you can add a number of button presses to the
power on event. I.e. it can turn the power on and then switch input.
Just press the + to add more commands on the power on event on the
settings page.

The html file you posted parsed okay for me. You may want to uninstall
SDT and then reinstall SDT 5.9.3 and see if that fixes it for you.
