Ah, sorry, I thought you were asking about the triode 3rd party plugin, as this tread is about that plug-in. While the triode plugin seems to offer much better functionality than the official one, there only seems to be an i386 version available - because of the squeezeboxplayer API libraries?

I installed the official Spotify app - but have since learnt that it is not supported on my Booms. Disappointing but so be it. So I have enabled Triode's plug in but am not sure what to expect. Should Spotify now become an option on the Boom menu? Same of Iplayer plug in - what should I see.

I think I'd get a full on server computer or Vortex box type set up before trying to upgrade the NAS. These machines pull about the same amount of power as a NAS, but have a lot more CPU oomph. I'm still lobbying for them to build some of this functionality in natively! -- antagron
