Hi pippin I've just installed pinkdot's LMSUpdate 7.9.2 package for DSM6 (armV8) on a Synology DS418 NAS. It appears to be working as expected, apart from one issue, as follows: I have a couple of SB2 players, and I also use iPeng (9.6.1) on an iPad as a player. I have been using these players

If you have many players, the Synology might be too slow to sync them all together, especially since iPeng has a somewhat different timing than other Squeezebox devices (it uses a larger buffer and also the iOS timing is different). It’s the server‘s responsibility to calculate all the stream

Seems as though the standard daemon checking does not detect the connection issue but the "monitor connection" process does. That's correct: standard checking only checks whether the process is still alive. But there obviously are systems where the daemons might be running, but no longer seen

So do I need to leave "Monitor connection" checked? I'd prefer if you hadn't to. But it's there for a reason. It's disabled by default as it could become pretty heavy on the Spotify backend (well, at least in the range I'm allowed to use it for) if everybody used it. -- Michael
