I've no idea where I should post this issue. It involves different
behavior of LMS running on different computers in attempting to play WMA
files on different players--with the problem arising with one server
(but not the other)--but only when using the AirPlay bridge.
1. LMS on a Windows 10

What DSM version are you using? What LMS version? And in
Settings/Information what version would be reported for IO::Socket::SSL?

My comment was referring to the logs that were provided just before.
The fetch of the master URL worked ok - that then pointed to the next
set and the resultant fetch of the _hifi URL appeared to timeout - or
did I misread it?

Just for fun, I upgraded a rpi4b to the 64 bit kernel and the LMS v8
No changes to LMS and the stream still did not play.

I'm getting mixed up between posts on two threads on same issue.
The FIP main normal and hifi URL work OK on LMS 7.9.3 and LMS 8.0.0

It's possible to download Spotty manually from
http://www.herger.net/slim-plugins/repo.xml (although I don't know how
to manually install it). It's not listed on the LMS plugins page apart
from at the top 'updated plugins available' section. It's not in 'active

Yes - the PlayHLS plugin.
It is probably set to Warn - try setting it to Debug (will be noisy).

Player takes same ip address as the server.
I am running CCA on an active speaker friendly name Kitchen Speaker.
CCA ip address is assigned dhcp 192.168.0.33 on the router.
The lms server is 192.168.0.16 and it is Ethernet connected.
I created the xml file so Kitchen speaker has a uud and

2.066 is pretty much up to date. The stream works on my Ubuntu 18.04
with LMS 8.0.* with 2.066 but fails on Rpi3 Raspbian (Buster)

This is a strange problem and so I need to set aside time to look at

Other HLS streams play OK with 2.5 on the Pi
So the issue seems to be a very specific combination : something in the
"newer" HLS streams

saving the settings it does not appear in the active plugin list, nor as

That should be good enough.
One important aspect of LMS 7.7 is to remember that you'll have to wait
a bit before hitting the "restart now" button. That prompt would be
given before the file actually has been
