Erland,
I am having trouble getting into the Custom Browse menu from the PlayerUI in
the latest SC7.0. I can invoke the custom browse menu via Extras-Custom
Browse, but not from My Music-Custom Browse.

What is the command to put into a custom IR map file to invoke the Song Scanner
in SC7.0?

It's a bug in the Custom Browse beta, I've corrected
I've been running Shadowplay (permanent) for about a year now on Fedora
5 using my SB3 as the remote player (i.e. connects to the stereo) and
my SB1 as the local player (i.e. it controls the SB1). I'm using SS ver
6.5.1. In addition to my local library, I use SS to play internet radio,

The solution came to me seconds after I posted my question! Not only was
Shadowplay (permanent) turned on, but so was Synchronize! I can't
honestly say I know how that happened but, suffice it to say, I turned
off Synch and everything works fine now.

something like menu_Plugins::SongScanner::Plugin to get to the plugin
or modefunction_Plugins::SongScanner::Plugin-jumptomenu to get to
the adjustment, but it goes directly back to where you were before

I've setup and been running this plugin but have run into an error.
Whilst most items I chose play just fine, some won't. I select the
radio show, it connects to the service, and then comes back as an empty
playlist. I have checked ont he website and I can listen to the radio
show on my pc via
The static issue is intermittent and I can't easily reproduce it. The
main problem was the issue with the older flac. Thanks for getting me
to look at the proper logging...

It's a bug in the Custom Browse beta, I've corrected it on my
development setup but haven't got around to make a new beta release
yet. I'll try to build a new release in next day or so.
Thanks.

A new problem tonight - in the latest SVN, I see that Slim/Utils/Validate.pm
has been removed. CustomScan uses this, so it doesn't load.

I have tried two things:
play.hold = modefunction_Plugins::SongScanner::Plugin-jumptomenu
I don't know if this has been discussed elsewhere in the thread, but it
seems to me that having a flash skin would be the perfect vehicle for a
built-in flash player.
It would be awesome to stream into a portable device, rather than just
using it as a remote control.
What do you all think?

Thanks Erland. I will try your proposals.

There is a bug in the 7.0 version of the plugin, line 113 needs to
change to:
Slim::Buttons::Common::pushModeLeft( $client,
'Plugins::Scanner::Plugin');
then use these in your map file:
modefunction_Plugins::Scanner::Plugin-jumptoscanner
or
menu_Plugins::Scanner::Plugin
