About the filtering:
I just did a quick side-by-side comparison. Here are the results, which
show that the filter does not have any effect on non-playable stuff, but
does mess up the search results, at least for some queries.

Okay. Got it working on Fire TV.
The problem of the missing exit/hide occurs because the Fire display
shows an Exit button (not seen on the standard phone app) - using this
leaves the player listed in other player lists.
Using the Fire remote back button displays the exit/hide choice -
exiting

Oh wow, my bad. I forgot I had that in there. Ok, I'm not going to
change that, exit means exit.

Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone,
Explanation: I checked the genre "Classical" for "New Releases" and one
of the first albums in the list is a recording of "Aida" with Antonio
Pappano. That album shows as "Cannot be streamed". However, in the new
releases section in the Android app it is streamable. So I went ahead
and did a
No, filtering is off. It hasn't worked properly for me for months, ever
since Qobuz started optimizing their database and search algorithm.
I did test the same thing with BubbleUpnp and their Quobz Plugin and it
listed the correct version of "Aida" in the "new releases" section.

I don't know what happened, but today the "Aida" in "New Releases" is
playing fine on LMS without any changes on our end. Maybe Qobuz changed
something? It doesn't change the situation about non-streamable stuff
showing up, but fixes the immediate error I reported... ;)

What did not work properly? The search or the filtering?

With filtering I got almost no useable search results for most queries.
It used to be fine, back when Qobuz was even more of a mess than it is
now, but for a long time (6+ months?) searching with the filter on often
leads to empfty search results for me. Either it's a malfunction on my

Thanks for the assist Ronnie.
I'm using "edge" as a browser, but have also tried on Chrome and
whatever the android default is (by trying to change the setting via my
tablet).
All unsuccessful. The test button shows the helper app is running (step
1) but fails at step 2 "Not Logged In".

For what it's worth, the original Chromecast fails to show as a dnla
renderer in upnpbridge.
So, unless they've added some dlna/upnp feature (like the Rocki), then
Philippe has some figuring out to do!

Don't worry Michael, if this actually works he'll possibly never have to
buy his own beer or coffee again... ;)
This might actually be almost as useful as the Raspberry Pi, and cheaper
too, since you don't need to add a DAC or Digi board, and it has
features that are useful even without LMS,
Thanks. There is a thread going in the "General" section where a few
people already have theirs. I preordered one and will receive it next
week. Google hates Europe... ;)
I don't know whether it's possible (or possibly easy) to work directly

You should ask those requesters to get you one ;-).

RE: Chromecast
I am still waiting for mine, Europe ... Anyway, I see 3 possible ways:
1. Chromecast + LMS as UPnP Server (obviously working)
2. Chromecast + UPnPBridge
3. Apps supporting the Chromecast Audio; Squeeze Ctrl already supports
the display of the now playing info through Chromecast
@wortgefecht
Mine just shipped, expect yours to do so too (same country...^^)
Nr. 1 should work, but is only mildly useful IMHO
Nr. 2 would be perfect,
Nr. 3 might be true for stuff like TuneIn, Google Play etc, but not for
Squeeze Ctrl, since that would mean redirecting the audio via your
I'd like to jump on here as well, asking about Chromecast (Audio)
support. Since this would pretty much be the "Holy Grail" of Squeezebox
replacement options IMHO. The device has a decent DAC, it's compact and
has fast WiFi, low power requirements etc. Now, if only there were a way
to access it
@Philippe_44
I'm using your Plugin for the first time today, casting to my Yamaha
AVR, and for some reason Playback stops after about 7-8 Minutes. This
has happened several times now, both with a webradio stream and Qobuz. I
have no idea why. Logfile isn't telling me anything, LMS says it's

There's no way to add multiple songs from an album and there is no
reason

I've gone back to basics.
New router
Complete new install of Fire TV
New install of SB Player
Same problems as before, the most irritating is that the app no longer
asks for exit confirmation - just closes. More importantly, the player
no longer disappears from the list of available players
Guys I'm having a few issues with my pi dropping out especially when
sync'd. .i did a sudo reboot which rebooted the system but i had a
message 'couldn't resolve hostname' as if they are not matching
Could this be causing issues?
If so how would i go about solving this?

Server rebooted many times!
Can't see how a rescan would help?
The main issues are the loss of the exit choice, and the player failing
to leave the player
