It does do an awful lot of things though. Nothing else has headphone, line out and s/pdif out, let alone a/d, Mics (and even speaker outs.) Shame the kernel seems to be a weak spot. This sounds like it may be a resampling problem. I don't think it's SB Player's resampler, since that works on the decoded PCM and should affect every format on every device. The FireTV box's mp3 decoder may be trying to resample the audio to 48Khz, but failing. On my Nexus devices, I know the system decoder resamples 22050Hz AAC files to 44100Hz before outputting the decoded audio to the app, but it doesn't do it for mp3's. Maybe the FireTV box's decoder will also resample mp3's? -- Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98049 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: YouTube Plugin
Hi all I've installed this super plugin, but couldn't make it work :-( On the configuration page "Advanced" "YouTube" I have to fill the following items: Prefer Low Resolution YouTube API access key. Items per search Country for categories Channel identification tags Playlist identification tags What is mandatory ? What to fill in YouTube API access key? I went to Google Developers Console to get a key, but which key to enter? Client ID or Client secret? I tried both, and in any case when I click Apply, the "YouTube API access key." return blank! Is this normal? Could you give me some clues to make it work? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: SB Player, a software Squeezebox player app for Android.
Not sure if anybody else has noticed, but it seems that on Android 6.0 the audio system can now support sampling rates up to 192Khz (you can select them in SB Player), but maybe more importantly it looks the output to a USB DAC has been upgraded to 24/96. Well it may be 16bit, I can't really tell since my DAC can only display a fixed set of sampling rate/bit depth combinations. -- Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98049 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
The Max2play system has been working a treat as my music server. I have a droid U3 and a U3+ Today I've been trying to get a USB DAC working with the Odroid U3. I was successful in connecting the U3+ to a USB DAC (iBasso) by selecting the USB device in the sound card selection under the Squeezelite advanced options tab of Max2play. But when I try the same on the original U3 I don't see an option for USB devices. The drop down list finishes at -'plughw - built-in audio-..but no USB options listed. I've seen other people reference USB audio devices working with the U3 but is this function limited to the U3+ version? Grateful if anyone can advise if it's possible to use the U3 or if there's some kind of tweak I need to do. Thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I need some help with this plugin. I'm not sure if anyone has covered this but if they have please point me in the right direction. Everything works fine on my Squeezebox system except when playing Spotify. It rarely plays a song through. Instead it will start the song, play a few seconds then jump to another track. If it manages to play longer than a few seconds the song stops and starts constantly making the use of Spotify pointless. If anyone has experienced this with Spotify using this plugin and resolved it your help would be much appreciated. For now I'm stuck listening to radio stations.
