Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] What is Max2Play??

I too have found that the Max2Play works very well with the Raspberry Pi3. I've used it to put an under used set of powered speakers to good use. A portable LMS system wherever I want it. Controlling it with my phone via the access point add on. No internet required. Has any one used apt-get to

I have to sympathise with the above comments! After a chaotic experience attempting to use max2play on a Pi 1, I bought a licence to use the bluetooth feature. Installed max2play on a pi 2 - EVEN MORE FRUSTRATION! Tried to install LMS - fails to start with cryptic message about 'Starting

No, read what I wrote above. IPeng tries to use the trackartist. But if there is no trackartist in what the server returns for that menu (e.g. Because the query defined by the menu you were selecting doesn't define it), it falls back to the general "artist" item which should contain a default

I can't say for sure that I have never browsed for composer in the past. Certainly not recently as far as I am aware. I tried browsing for Track Artist but even when I do that it still defaults to composer. But bear in mind the two screen shots I sent you the first showed track artist and the

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2016-11-20 Thread pippin
Sure you didn't browse by a composer at some point? The track artist might also have been the composer so the composer field would go under the same name. The song info menu structure is not something iPeng generates, that's all server generated menus, I suspect at some point it started

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

That must be an LMS bug or a side effect. iPeng always shows what the server returns as the track artist there and if no track artist is present, it shows the "artist" (default artist). If it shows the composer this means LMS has returned the composer in the "Artist" field. Did you maybe filter

Also, please be aware that this is kind of important for classical music. Traditionally a lot of classical music listeners have done workarounds like putting all this information into the main artist field or by having long track titles. But you can't order by that. LMS 7.9 now allows you to

Listen, we can discuss this until the cows come home. Almost all other music Apps don't have this information so don't show it at all. The current behavior is identical to Logitech's App which you could argue is how Logitech wanted it to be In a nutshell, classical music lovers will hate it
