I too have found that the Max2Play works very well with the Raspberry
Pi3.
I've used it to put an under used set of powered speakers to good use. A
portable LMS system wherever I want it. Controlling it with my phone via
the access point add on. No internet required.
Has any one used apt-get to

I have to sympathise with the above comments!
After a chaotic experience attempting to use max2play on a Pi 1, I
bought a licence to use the bluetooth feature.
Installed max2play on a pi 2 - EVEN MORE FRUSTRATION! Tried to install
LMS - fails to start with cryptic message about 'Starting
After reinstalling nightly LMS and the lms_1.0.9_all.deb on my netgear
NAS R102 LMS won't restart after selecting the Qobuz plugin. I tried it
several times. When I use LMS on a local machine, and I select the
plugin LMS asks to be rebooted, so I know what to expect.. The reboot
just won't

That fixed it, thanks. And thanks for providing such great (free!)
support for your software.

just managed to register after about 1o attempts, but cant change the
crazy joining password because my account and change you profile takes
my one of you pages in german. so pointless asking on your forum because
ill not be able to sign in again easily.
Hi.
Im a paid up max2play user, just spent 2 days trying to get it working
properly.
I cant log on the forum because joining is in german, and despite
joining countless forums, when joining yours went wrong i was lost.
How do i watch kodi via hdmi on pi3 with iqaudio dac+ and the sound

I've made a tutorial on how to install it, describing those steps:

No, read what I wrote above. IPeng tries to use the trackartist. But if
there is no trackartist in what the server returns for that menu (e.g.
Because the query defined by the menu you were selecting doesn't define
it), it falls back to the general "artist" item which should contain a

I can't say for sure that I have never browsed for composer in the past.
Certainly not recently as far as I am aware.
I tried browsing for Track Artist but even when I do that it still
defaults to composer.
But bear in mind the two screen shots I sent you the first showed track
artist and the
Sure you didn't browse by a composer at some point? The track artist
might also have been the composer so the composer field would go under
the same name.
The song info menu structure is not something iPeng generates, that's
all server generated menus, I suspect at some point it started
No I did not filter for composer, should I log this as a bug in LME 7.9?

That must be an LMS bug or a side effect. iPeng always shows what the
server returns as the track artist there and if no track artist is
present, it shows the "artist" (default artist). If it shows the
composer this means LMS has returned the composer in the "Artist" field.
Did you maybe filter
I am using the latest version of iPeng.
If I search for an artist such as Sergio Mendes and select the album The
Great Arrival, it lists all the tracks on that album with the Track
Artist shown

When playing a track from this album if I press and hold album art it
brings up Song Info. If I
Also, please be aware that this is kind of important for classical
music. Traditionally a lot of classical music listeners have done
workarounds like putting all this information into the main artist field
or by having long track titles.
But you can't order by that. LMS 7.9 now allows you to

Listen, we can discuss this until the cows come home. Almost all other
music Apps don't have this information so don't show it at all. The
current behavior is identical to Logitech's App which you could argue is
how Logitech wanted it to be
In a nutshell, classical music lovers will hate it

It doesn't happen on HLS or MP3 streams. I only posted as a note bpa.
The plugin is working fine.
I've never used the "Skip Back 15 minutes" before but it seems to be
working fine.

This isn't causing me a problem but I've worked out that is referencing
1st January 1970 and that this is apparently "Unix Time". It is only
appearing on my Windows connected USB DAC using a WASAPI
