I'm writing that from memory, but I gave the detailed explanation somewhere in the many pages of this thread. It's due to LMS being confused by the sampling rate of some streams and, when doing on-the-fly conversion to raw PCM, not giving the right information to the player. So The bridge tells the player it's a raw PCM @ 44.1KHz when in facts it's a 48KHz track. Recent versions of LMS might have solved that, I'm not sure. Another explication, if things are super slow (like half speed) is as well that LMS 7.7x (and maybe 7.8, I'm not sure) can't go above 96KHz and misdirect as well the player, where rate above 96kHz are said to be 44.1. Again, this is likely not fully accurate as I'm writing that from memory. The solution is either you have an old LMS version and try to upgrade to recent 7.9 (I don't know how much VortexBox let you do that), or maybe preventing raw use of PCM to the player will solve that as well. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotify Protocol Handler - play Spotify on all your Squeezeboxen
I've read different places that this can happen when Spotify's servers are busy on Saturdays and high traffic times. Someone suggested logging off LMS, and then back on in the hopes of randomly getting onto a different Spotify server that's less busy. I don't know if any of that is valid or not. Sometimes it seems like it works for me. Joshuaisarocker wrote: > I've been struggling with this issue for a while now, but now I'm ready > to fix it. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: squeeze2upnp, a bridge between LMS and uPNP devices
Hello, I have the squeeze2upnp running on a Vortex box, to a Cambridge Audio 752 BlueRay Player. All works fine except for Spotify. The Spotify stream will play, but plays at a reduced speed, so everything is slooow. Other streams such as internet radio work fine. I have tried a number of buffering options in the settings without success. Before i try other options and get myself in knots I thought I would ask here first if anyone has seen this issue before or might know of a resolution. Many thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotify Protocol Handler - play Spotify on all your Squeezeboxen
I've been struggling with this issue for a while now, but now I'm ready to fix it. Spotify seems to work well across all of my Pis, but for some reason I start having issues every Saturday night! Which happens to be whenever I have all of my friends over! I recently upgraded my main Pi to a Pi 3 running an up to date 7.9 LMS build, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the Protocol Handler App, and verified that credentials are good. I'm not sure what is causing it, but my Pis will lose sync, and then the player will skip to the next song in the playlist. Looking at the protocol handler statistics, I noticed that the handler had attempted to play 74 tracks, with 36 Re-Logins. Whenever there is a song skip, the statistics log this as a Re-Login. I recently made Port Forwarded the default Helper App Port and verified that it was open but I'm still having issues. Does anyone have any ideas? 21677 +---+ |Filename: lms.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21677| +---+ Joshuaisarocker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66032 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105187 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

In case you want to use Squeeze Control again, you probably just have to unblock port 9000 in Bitdefender. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
There is search in the YouTube plugin, either in the LMS GUI or in application like iPeng. I'm also using a windows 10 dedicated app that provide search as well. I think that every remote control app does leverage the search that is provided by the plugin.. The search options I've implemented and that are made available through these different UI are not super sophisticated, but they are good enough. One thing that I might do one day is to add the possibility to authenticate with your google account so that you also have access to your YT subscription, playlists and al. I installed squeeze2cast on my Windows 8.1 PC which is now running W10. I did this when squeeze2cast was just launched. I works straight away, but I have not used it since till today as I moved my Chromecast to another property. I have now installed a Chromecast and a Chromecast Audio in the property with squeeze2cast is installed on the media PC. LMS immediately found both devices and music is pouring out of both. All praise to Phillipe. LMS reports I have version 0.2.4.0 whick looks lick the latest (ref https://github.com/philippe44/LMS-to-Cast) so I presume the auto plugging update in LMS has been working. Is that right? This thread now has 24 pages - rather a lot of detailed conversation. What particularly should I note? Would some kind person who has kept up with the discussion please point me in the right direction, though, as far as I can see everything is "just working".
