Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Apologies, I didn't find a remedy when I tried a couple of searches initially. Thanks, I found instructions in the Spotty thread. However, I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 and don't readily have root access. I was able to find instructions to add the plugin to enable root access to the ReadyNAS, but I just spent a couple of hours trying to get it to work and I've given up. I'll go back to using Squeezebox just for playing the music. Or you install LMS on a Pi, using the NAS as a store only. I've gone that way and don't regret. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've just tried copying over the armhf-linux binaries into the aarch64-linux folder for both Bin folders; still failing however. What aarch64-linux folder? As I said LMS is not looking for that platform specific folder, but only the parent /Bin folder. I apologize for how difficult this has been, I've tried a few things including: unchecking Spotty's helper application -> testing -> unchecking Spotty -> rechecking Spotty -> testing -> unchecking spotty and then stopping the server, removing spotty's folder in the plugins directory (/Users/kezz/Library/Caches/Squeezebox) -> rechecking Spotty -> testing The condition hasn't changed unfortunately, it's still: Login - ✓ Playlists and songs - ✓ Track transport showing in the web interface and on squeezeboxes - ✓ Sound coming out of the squeezeboxes - ✕ Any relevant information in logs - ✕ Still on OSX 10.11, for the time being I'd like to know how to downgrade the plugin to it's last working version until this is figured out. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Playing RP this morning, I'm finding that the FLAC stream I'm hearing is about 45 minutes behind the RP website playlist. I can confirm something's wrong right now. But TBH I'm not sure it's in the plugin or on RP's end: I would get metadata for two songs, starting with ID x, but the stream URL I get would indicate ID x-1 to x+1. This already is questionable. If I then request the next junk, I would get metadata for the same two tracks, but a stream URL indicating other track IDs. I'll ping Bill before anything else. Please note that the flac stream isn't a "real time" stream. All those shows are pre-recorded. Otherwise you couldn't skip tracks. Basically the old mp3/aac streams would just play track 1 to x straight through. But with the track based flac stream you could skip tracks 2-3, playing #4 when the mp3 stream was still on #2. Or if you paused RP for a few hours, unpausing it would continue where you left (eg. track 10), while the mp3 stream would be on track 25 already. Skipping to the next block would probably bring you up in sync with mp3 again etc. I think I mentioned this (in less detail) in my announcement. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

That was it! I did not know about this functionality of ipeng. Nor did I realise pasteboard contents survive a restart on ios... I had this in my paste buffer: https://:y...@serverip.com:port/json.htm?type=command&parm=switch&idx=01&switchcmd=On Probably while making IFTTT webhook recipes - though that was months ago - I dont really use this iPad for anything other than as a remote for squeeze and homekit. I can replicate this on the new iPad now as well, though as its more of a general use tablet, there is no guarantee I wouldn't have something else in my paste buffer. While I can certainly live with this as is, perhaps an enhancement request would be to have a specific setting that launches a specific given URL on launch? More involved would be homekit integration and allow a homekit device to be switched on on app launch. For this last one, I'd have to check the existing automation routine capabilities, it might already be possible on the homekit side to do this via a scene. I had previously been stuck on homekit on ios9, im more of an android guy, so I am not sure what is possible under iOS. This can easily be done via a Tasker task. There are also some plugins in LMS that could automate this. Thanks again, you found the proverbial needle in the haystack! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Playing RP this morning, I'm finding that the FLAC stream I'm hearing is about 45 minutes behind the RP website playlist. However, the artwork being presented appears to be following what's current on the website. Actually, it seems to be one artwork in advance. Stopping and restarting play doesn't change this. Also, rebuffering happens more frequently with the FLAC stream vs. the AAC+ stream. Living room: SB Touch, with coax to: Marantz PM7005, TDL RTL3 speakers. Dining room: SB Boom.
