[SlimDevices: Plugins] Raspberry Pi: installing "Spotify connect for LMS", the long way round
For playing spotify music through LMS, I recomment using 'Michael's Spotty plugin' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?108561-Announce-Spotty-2-0-0-Spotify-Connect-for-your-Squeezebox). But if you like tinkering, and feel adventurous, you could try this tutorial I wrote: 'Spotify streaming to LMS, the long way round' (www.gerrelt.nl/RaspberryPi/wordpress/spotify-radio/) It creates a way to play music through spotify connect by linking several components together. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
Philippe - not a big deal, but if it's a trivial mod and you're so inclined, you might consider modifying the AirPlay skip-back command to act similar to the LMS web interface. -LMS Web:- First press on skip-back jumps to start of current song, second press (within a time limit?) seeks previous song. -SQ2R:- First press seeks previous song. Thanks again for your amazing work. Your contributions have made this most excellent network audio system even more capable, adding so much more to it's usefulness. Rather than showing it's age, LMS seems to be a continued, solid foundation for innovation. Loving it... Now I tried to upload full log. But that's not what you'd get from the server.log.zip link in the web UI, is it? It's the same lines plus a few... " Don't announce Squeezebox players running in Spotify Connect mode in your network. Check this option if you don't want your Spotify Connect enabled Squeezebox player to show up in all Spotify apps in your network. " is not checked if you mean that? Yes. Checked or un-checked? If checked, then other users won't see the player. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
I have a "portable" LMS on a Win10 laptop that I use the 3rd party option to run SL-win as a service. My main reason was to get rid of the taskbar icon. I think I'll try your SLX on that laptop and get rid of the 3rd party software to run SL as a service. Having another icon in the system tray for SLX is fine with me. I can set a scheduled task and trigger it to bring up SLX when LMS starts. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
One question I have for you: I assume the limitation of not having an account playing on more than one (unsynced) device simultaneously applies. If that's the case, is there any way I can force one player to use my account and another, say, to use my wife's. I won't be using the Connect feature, I'd be looking to do this through the player menu i.e. to select playlists. If you have multiple accounts configured in Spotty, you should have an option in the menu to select the "active" user. Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that we now released our Stretch Image officially! It coincided the release of the Raspberry Pi 3B+ so already integrated the new Kernel necessary to boot the device. This official successor of our Jessie Image runs on all Pi's including the 3B+ and comes with a new Bluetooth speaker pairing implementation among other new features. 'Check our blog article on the release for all the details' (https://www.max2play.com/en/2018/03/new-max2play-stretch-image-for-raspberry-pi-3b-out-now/) and let me know if you have any feedback :) Heiner from Max2Play Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
In addition to supporting Spotty Connect with password protected LMS, there are a bunch of bug fixes and minor changes: - improve context handling in Connect mode for albums and playlists - fix the long-standing "Settings link is broken" issue - improve logging - fix playlist transfer from Connect enabled devices If you're running one of the additional helper applications, make sure you're updating to the latest v0.10.0 binary.
