In Settings/Advanced/Spotty you'd see what binary you're using. There's
probably a dropdown with different versions available (eg. spotty-hf,
spotty-muslhf, spotty...).

I'd suggest you run a bunch of updates on LMS, Spotty, pCP, then try
again. It's my office setup. It certainly does work.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox

2018-04-08 Thread genseng

Having trouble with playback. I get periodic stops of music during
playback. I have the most success with starting it from a browser
(open.spotify.com), selecting the device and starting playback.
Sometimes restarting the logitechmediaserver.service will fix it,
sometimes not. Sometimes I can go days without a problem.

Hardware is a linux based HTPC using an Intel i7 4700K (i.e. not a NAS).
Have no quality issues streaming Netflix so I don't think it's a
throughput issue. Would appreciate help troubleshooting if there's
anything I should be looking at. I've looked in the logs but nothing
jumped out at me related to spotty.

2018-04-08 Thread nickb

'squeeze alexa 1.1'
(https://github.com/declension/squeeze-alexa/releases/tag/v1.1) was
released a while ago.

Includes various fixes and minor improvements, plus improved guides and
HOWTOs.

Also, the development version is now internationalised, with UK English
and German as the two translations provided (help wanted...)

Hi. You can now just download a release zip
(https://github.com/declension/squeeze-alexa/releases) which is easier.
You can extract it to any directory on your computer really (e.g.
/home/me/projects/squeeze-alexa), so long as you have access to this,
Python, and a command line (so Linux / Mac easiest, but Windows possible
too) and connectivity to your NAS / server / whatever. The codebase is
primarily to -build and deploy the Alexa skill- though.

This is how you configure the Alexa skill for your own setup. It will be
under /home/me/projects/squeeze-alexa/src/settings.py in my earlier
example. By design you shouldn't have to edit much, just a few hostnames
/ IP addresses etc.

When you say -on- a Raspberry Pi - is the Pi

- Your PC (unlikely but can be done..)
- RPi as a Squeezebox (player)?
- RPi as NAS / home server (to install, say, stunnel etc)
- RPi as a LMS instance

My money's on the third (and fourth perhaps), which shouldn't be too
hard at all as the package manager is decent I'm told.

Thank you! Yes, I see now when SqueezePlay is synced with the others
then they all drop AAC.

mherger wrote:

OK, the problem was: I wasn't playing it. Now I am playing it, the URL
is radioparadise://4.flac, and when I'm in Home > Song Info then "Play
Something Different" and "Enable Radio Paradise HD Images" are there.

24893

After playing it for a minute or two, those items also appear in the
Home > Radio Paradise menu, along with the FLAC and AAC streams. There
is apparently a delay until they appear, and a delay until they go away.
That's OK! it's not confused, I am. Or was. All good now.

The above images are the web interface as presented in Squeezelite-X, by
the way.

Overall this plugin is fantastic, and I'm sure I speak for everyone here
when I say THANK YOU for getting us access to the RP FLAC stream.

Question: What platform do you want to use LMS Remote on?

- Mac OS X

Hey Leo,
First thanks for building that app. Unfortunately it is not
accessible anymore on your blog since all links are dead. Any chance you
could make it available again and would you agree to share the code on
you git so we could contribute?

Many thanks,
Martin

The mac Squeezeplay does not support aac, so you would only see flac and
mp3 options.

For completeness, the windows, linux and solaris squeezeplay builds do
not support aac either.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Help with chrome cast audio plugin

2018-04-08 Thread drmatt

Iirc it restarts every time you make a change to the config (because
that's how it works). In general you just turn it on and ignore it. The
Chromecast appears as a player in the LMS interface (or ipeng) and you
can send audio to it as normal.
