Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.3.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
*Important note: Spotty in Connect mode currently is broken.* There seem to be changes on Spotify's end which break librespot/spotty. v2.3.4 is on its way to you. It should fix the Connect failure introduced by Spotify server changes a few days ago. This is a rather "hot" fix: it has seen little testing, and I haven't been able to build for all platforms (yet). In particular the binary for armv5 is still missing. While Connect wouldn't work with this one, use of Spotty through LMS should still be possible. Please check what binary is being used in Settings/Advanced/Spotty should you encounter Connect issues. I can get the artwork showing for a bit by deleting the cache, rescanning and restarting the server. iPeng initially shows all artwork but then after a while most disappears. All artwork is there and is shown correctly by both SB players and LMS and there is nothing that I can see in the LMS logs that indicate a problem. Could this be an iOS issue? I recently moved to 11.3.1 so maybe it's this that is not playing nicely with iPeng? Any help appreciated. I think the most important feature is the rating as their site says Bill uses that to help him decide how much to play a song. And along those lines its cool to see the rating over the currently played song. Of course song history but I think youre looking into that with the whats the last song plugin... and at this point I would say the song comments... I enjoy scrolling through those... [SlimDevices: Plugins] Deezer app
I dont suppose anyone wants to tweak the Deezer app to support FLAC? The IckStream app hasnt been updated in 2 years and the navigation there versus the Deezer app is really wonky... not to mention none of the radio stations nor does artist radio work. I just thought that since the Tidal app works with FLAC that the Deezer app would be able to as well. Is there any chance we'd get the Thumbs up and Thumbs down option in the non-Connect mode when running Spotify through LMS? I'm not sure there's any meaningful API call to support like/dislike. Thanks. Not 100% sure, please ask in the LMS subforum. This is not something iPeng can influence, it never sees your files and tags, its the server that manages the library and it needs to support the tags. It might be that this is somehow possible in LMS 7.9.1 using additional browse modes, otherwise youd need something like CustomScan. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hopefully I'll have a fix, > soon... hello from an old SBox user now on RPi running max2play with LMS/Spotty... i have a bit more info for you to chew on: 1) i tried to un-check the option "Don't announce Squeezebox players" but it will not stick. why wouldn't i want to announce all connect players? once when it seemed to stick, the device showed up. 2) "max2play" device is fleeting in appearance. my own android and windows apps (which uses spotify web api) see it the most. Spotify's own apps do not; did yesterday. 3) android app, OrangeSqueeze, can always see "max2play" since it is not using spotify api as far as i know. it's just a controller for the SqzLite player inside RPi. 4) at one point, i had two spotify sessions streaming (i only one premium account, not a family). one on max2play and another on the desktop. how is that possible? my best guess at this point is Spotify is messing with servers and updates... just a week or so ago, suddenly the ProgressTime was being reported as 0. then after 2 days, it works again. of course, this wasn't the first time something wacky happens at their end. pavowren's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51958 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108898 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks for this information and your implication Michael. The breaking changes comes from the beta part of the API ? No, from a non-documented part... It's based on reverse-engineering - which is always prone to failure in case of protocol changes.
