Without a player running there is nothing to connect to in spotify.
Maybe that was my problem all along?
"running" as in powered off, unplugged, not in standby? That could be a
problem indeed. Soft-off should be fine.

restarting.

What kind of player are you using?
Please disable the "Optimize pre-buffering" as a starter.
And I'll ask again: any chance to test LMS/Spotty on anything else than
a Vista machine?

I don't think I missed many (if any), but sometimes they're arriving out

When I put the wifi AP in the LAN, everything works fine indeed.
When LAN and WLAN are separated subnets, the plugin sees the cc mdns

I'm running low on new ideas :-(.
Can you confirm that in the morning the spotty daemons would still be
running with the same PID, yet not be visible in the network?

Thanks for this address. I know all this lists and IIRC I was subscribed to
them in the past, but IIRC I still missed some messages. I have subscribed
again and will have a look if all messages in the RSS feeds also appear in the
mailinglists.
Make sure you do not subscribe to digests only.

Hi guys,
Perhaps this is a bit unnecessary for this community, as you are
probably all already familiar with these plugins, but we recently
published a blog article on some very useful third party plugins by
mherger and philippe_44. Special thanks again for their (patient)
support in helping me
This morning again I can't connect to the players in the spotify app.
Is your computer going to sleep at night? Here's a message I'm seeing
when Spotty tries to refresh the access_token it needs in order to
access the API: "failed to lookup address information: Temporary failure

We both had spotty for the squeezebox option on both the PC and iphone
after auto authorizing and selecting the device. Even though I
authorized I still couldn't play until I went back into LMS and entered
my Spotify user name and password. Then that device disappeared for
everyone except me.

That's ok. It's the watchdog checking whether the daemon is still
running. Once you've set logging for
spotty 2.4.5
This morning again I can't connect to the players in the spotify app.
Untick/tick and the connect option is there again.
