Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
Hi all, I have managed to have SqueezeCtl be in my notification area no matter what, when and only when I'm connected to the WiFi network my SqueezeServer is on. Having used Tasker for many years, I nowadays use 'Automagic' (http://automagic4android.com/). Currently I use three flows. 1. WiFi Network in - Trigger: WiFi Connected - Notification on Statusbar Displayed Package: com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl - If false: Send Broadcast com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl.REMOTE_CONNECT Explicit Component: Package com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl 2. WiFi Network out - Trigger: WiFi Disconnected - Send Broadcast com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl.REMOTE_CLOSE Explicit Component: Package com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl 3. Restore SqueezeCtl - Trigger: Notification on Statusbar Removed Package: com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl - WiFi Connected? - If true: Send Broadcast com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl.REMOTE_CONNECT Explicit Component: Package com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl Simple and maybe can be made simpler, but it works for me. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support
13-Sep-19 Release notes for BBCiPlayer 1.6.8 - Change station logos from 600x600 to 128x128 after BBC removed support for 600x600 - Fix display of settings "Show in My Apps" check box - Fix display of metadata when a BBCiPlayer program or live station is in playlist queue and not playing. The metadata had a few changes tidying up code a bit so I'd be interested in case it misbehaves in some instances. Following up to the metadata issues discussed a while ago (live data breaking into skipped back program) - I have rewritten and simplified the metadata handling code but not ready yet for this update. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

As you say, Stream What You Hear would solve another convenience, by not having Tidal on the same machine as the LMS server. But their F.A.Q. section mentions "...MP3 or PCM/L16" and I haven't found anything about support for higher resolution audio streaming, which is the topic in this thread. Do you know if it's possible to convey 24/96kHz and above through SWYH? I also checked out Flirc and didn't get how that would allow interactive/2-way remote control of Tidal, with browsing of playlists, searching songs etc. Could you provide a spesific link/use case, please? Most other speakers dont have such issue, a few have a problem where they dont accept a volume command before they have sent their current value to their controller (this is the trigger option). In such case I wait for the first player volume feedback and the I send the LMS volume command. The zipp does something different. What seems to happen is that when it starts to play, it tells its controller that volume is 100% and then the bridge believes that the user purposely changed the volume on the zipp to 100% so it simply reflects it. None of my other players does that, Ill try to think of a workaround that does not break volume for all other players, but as I dont have a zipp, it makes testing difficult LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. Is there some way of setting up Spotty Connect players so that they *only* appear in the Spotify apps when I am on my home network? Currently, the players appear for me always, even when away from home, while for the other users in my household, with other Spotify credentials, they appear only when they are on the local network. As far as I can tell the available settings broadcast the players to all network users, while would I would like an opposite setting. Thanks! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?
This post follows on from another thread https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?110945-Transporter-Mixcloud-UNABLE-TO-PLAY-FILE-TYPE The issue is about Mixcloud not playing MP4 on players which do not have native AAC (e.g. Receiver, Boom, Classic, SB2, Trasnporter, Squeezeplay) This is due to no default support for transcoding MP4 streams on LMS - there is support for MP4 files. Support for streaming MP4 can be added via the ffmpeg application. After installing ffmpeg on your system - then you need a additional rules for MP4 conversion via ffmpeg. For easy install I have packaged the custom-convert.conf file into a "plugin" called PlayMP4. ffmpeg must be installed separately. The MP4 plugin can be installed using the repo URL below (i.e. add the URL to the "Additional Repositories in LMS WebUI Settings/Plugins ) http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/repo-playmp4.xml bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88286 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I don't know how much work this would be, but having at least the option to pause/play and maybe an indication what is playing would be awesome. Since there is for example the awesome slim and fast Squeezer app for android I was wondering how much work it would actually need to connect via :9090 from the mac itself and have something displayed in the status bar.
