Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?
I forgot to add the new zip file but I also discovered the reason why playback was failing for some of you: a few of the mp4 files have their header at the end and although my changes in LMS take that into account since 8.1, the use of custom user-agent in mixcloud was creating an issue. I'm submitted a PR in LMS, have a look when Michael has it released. *It will apply to 8.2 only at that time*, so do not try with 8.1 LMS 8.1.x on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3. There are 3 significant tables in the db Albums Tracks Contributors Album_id is the ID no assigned to an an album in the albums table Every Contributor has an ID The contributors table contains an entry for any entity the scan finds whether it be band, artist, composer, conductor etc Artist_id is from the Tracks table and equates to the Contributor ID of the principal track artist (I think - Im typing from memory). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?
I've updated the PR on GitHub and attached a copy of the plugin here. I think this is enough for now as it solves the mp4 issue and also the early stop problem by doing a download of whole track in the background and streaming from there. Funny enough, it seems that dmixcloud gives you a decent throughput at the beginning and then throttle you down, but that does not matter. slartibartfast wrote: > Maybe my tracks don't have artist_id or album_id then although they all > have artist and album tags. I don't know if there is a difference. When LMS sends the list of tracks in the queue, for tracks that are in LMS's database LMS will send the database ID - this is the artist_id, album_id, etc. When Material lists an album it asks LMS for tracks using the album_id, not the album name. Basically, all local tracks should have these IDs - they're part of LMS, and are not tags. So, why you are not seeing these links I'm not sure. If you are using a Chromium based browser under Wayland on Linux then this could be the reason why the links are not shown on hover. This is due to a Chromium/wayland bug. *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce Planet Radio / Bauer Media plugin - PlanetRock, Absolute, Kiss, Scala ++
I did some more investigation to try to understand why the boxsets would not play for me. Turned out to be simple. LMS is calling ffmpeg to play them ... but they are https and the ffmpeg on this pCP installation is complaining that it is not built with https support. So I expect that if I update the ffmpeg installation then it might well resolve it (if pCP team have built one more recently with it enabled). However, I changed the url from https to http and it played. So - I'll change the plugin tomorrow to convert the urls so that it will work for people who do not update their ffmpeg. Of course, that might fail in the future if they stop supporting http as an alternative but hopefully they will redirect to https or I will remove the hack. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I'm experimenting with Alexa.Presentation.APL to show artwork and Alexa.Presentation.HTML to show web-content within the MediaServer skill on Echo devices with screens. It all looks really nice on the Echo Show 2nd Gen which has a 10" 1280x800 touchscreen. You can get an idea of what it looks like in the following video, where the "What's New" command is hijacked to launch Material. https://youtu.be/QpzHbkgN1f0 Where it would come into its own is if the voice command could deep-link into one of Material's sub-pages. For example, "Alexa, open Material Favorites" or "Alexa, open Material Random Albums", "Alexa, open Material New Music" to immediately open it at those options. It would also be nice to open it to show the tracks on an album if I pass in the album_id, etc, etc. You get the idea - pre-configured Material. Something like GET query parameters or POST body parameters could pass in the configuration request. Is anything like that possible? philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

You can then manually edit the URL to get the desired waveform, signal frequency, sampling rate, bit depth and volume. Duet x 3, via various hi-fi. LMS on Raspberry Pi OS (Debian 10) on a Pi4. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Hi Craig, I think I've stumbled upon a funny bug or limitation: in the Queue you can only click on the album/artist name (to quickly go to that album/artist) with -upcoming- tracks. For the -current playing and already played tracks- this doesn't work -- there's also no hover color, so they're really not active. The same behavior can be found by going to [three dots] > More. For current/upcoming tracks the artist and album name are not bold and not clickable. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce Planet Radio / Bauer Media plugin - PlanetRock, Absolute, Kiss, Scala ++
New beta build available - 0.0.2d The main change is that "boxsets" (that is what PlanetRadio calls a set of shows/segments that can be replayed but are not on their podcast list) are now available as well. I have put them into the Podcast section in the plugin. Again, a lot of stations do not have any but those that do tend to also have Podcasts so it probably saves a few clicks by having them together. The list of shows/segments within each boxset is the same order as provided by PlanetRadio - which appears to be most recent first. I looked at putting a publication date in there are part of the show name but it looks messy and since the most recent is first in the list then it may well be OK without. Usually they have different names for each "episode" but not always (Absolute 80s has an example where all have the same name). In general, the boxset contents are M4A over https and do not play for me - but they may well work for you if you are running LMS 8.2 (I am on very recent 8.1.2). I also found a way to get the "brands" icons/logos ... so this release has changes for some of the, mostly, top-level icons. So "Magic" finally has its only logo rather than me promoting one up from the lower layer. Some are transparent which does make the list look somewhat untidy. However, it means that I don't have to rely on icon URLs being hard-coded within the plugin which should have long-term benefits (for when they add stations or rebrand). If https://www.last.fm/music/The+Racquet is you then maybe add a picture there (last.fm) You could also add biography info. All you need is an a free account on last.fm. They have rules about what should be in the picture and the text - but not sure how well it is checked so you could become the greatest band ever out of your town. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Hi I've tried searching but didn't find anything useful. If it's just my searching skills that are bad please feel free to point me in the right direction. Anyway, I'm in a band called 'The Racquet' and we've done a one-off self recorded album which I have in my LMS. MIA (I think) seems to pick the artist up as a band called 'Racquet Club' and shows a picture and a biography of that band when browsing 'Album Artists' or when selecting More->Artist information. Now, I'm not expecting MIA to know who we are, but was wondering if there's a way to stop it picking up the wrong artist? Maybe I can put my own picture somewhere that would stop MIA looking elsewhere? Thnaks for reading! --Ian --ian Stoker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8264 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I'm the same to be honest. I do like to keep an eye out for changes to my plugins ( Material, Spotty, Chromecast and airplay bridges). If you have the box ticked to automatically update the plugins you don't get a notification in material if there has been an update that is pending a restart. Material is my preferred skin and I dont use anything else on mobile and tablet but my work around is to open the default view when I'm using my laptop and that way you do get a notification that a plug in has been updated and needs LMS to restart; it's displayed at the bottom of of the screen next to the help. i did wonder and have previously suggested that we could have a notification in material in the top right corner - maybe a different colour to the green dot that gets displayed when there is a new version of LMS. It doesn't seem to be an issue for most people so I understand if Craig is not keen on this. I've noticed in the last few days that the skill returns an Amazon service error for so-called progressive responses. When you try to play a genre with a huge number of tracks (>10,000) the skill say "patience please" to fill the silence while LMS builds the playlist.
