Please install the 'v4.1 beta from Github' (https://github.com/aesculus/denonavpcontrol/blob/master/src/DenonAvpControl_4_1.zip) and then update DenonAvpComms.pm and Plugin.pm from the attached files below. The new version doesn't just ignore QS timeouts; it detects them and then proactively syncs the player volume to the AVR volume in the same way that it is done for the main zone. As I said, this is all done behind the scenes and should be transparent to the user. As an alternative to check for undef, you could probably read the rating using SQL directly from track_persitence also. Reading directly from track_persitence would work, going through a $track object wont work since there isnt an entry in tracks table. It depends if you want the backup to contain information for all previously renamed/moved/deleted tracks or not. In normal situation a user is probably not interested to keep information for deleted tracks. The only situation when it could be useful is if you move all the music to a new disc/path and doesnt do a backup before the move. In this situation LMS would loose all ratings since all file URLs are changed, but if the user could do a backup to export the information they could do a replace all in a text editor of the backup file and restore it to restore the ratings. However, this is a corner case, in normal situation the user should have a backup file from before the move and could just use that. I think my suggestion would be to instead do filtering of undef when creating the backup and only store ratings for tracks that exist in tracks table. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Denon AVP Control Plugin
Okay. I think this is the one. (Warning: I once said that about my ex-wife.) After much thought and a few 'aha!' moments, I have come up with some significant changes in the communications logic of the plugin that I think will result in much greater stability and less dependence on the nature and timing of AVR responses. The bottom line is that all zones will now support synching player volume to the AVR, both at startup and optionally on track changes. In addition, all zones support the re-execution of the Quick Select command when the client 'pause' button is tapped twice quickly within .25 seconds, depending on the client app. It has been tested and works with Squeezer and SqueezeCtrl. The usefulness of this function is debatable but it can be handy in situations where the AVR source has been temporarily changed. Timeouts on the Quick Select command, which seem to be more common in secondary zones for some reason, should now be handled in a manner that is mostly transparent to the user. I have found that, in most cases, the QS commands complete successfully even if the AVR is late responding to it. So here are TWO replacement modules to be copied to the beta v4.1 plugin directory. I am hopeful that your results will be much better than with the previous version. Good luck! +---+ |Filename: Plugin.pm| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34524| +---+ Sam SamY's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63495 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

For most users, this will be desired as it will prevent clipping. By appending the 24dB_digital_gain parameter, the Digital volume control will allow up to 24dB of gain. If this parameter is enabled, it is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the Digital volume control is set to a value that does not result in clipping/distortion!) slave Force DAC+ Pro into slave mode, using Pi as master for bit clock and frame clock. leds_offIf set to 'true' the onboard indicator LEDs are switched off at all times. dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus,leds_off Greg Erskine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114449 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Of note, this Settings pull-down menu is reduced in length in Firefox (macOS, Windows) and it presents a very short scrolling list (which requires a fair amount of scrolling given the context). In other browsers, the menu is shown completely (and it should be, because the monitor is large enough). cpd73 wrote: > Done for 2.4.1 [hiding non-applicable settings] Thanks. Hey, nice to see you again. So the music file was deleted manually without a rescan afterwards. When I do track->rating to *get* a track rating does LMS check if the file exists? Or do you have to perform some (failed) action on it before it's marked dead? I guess when the backup function does -$track = Slim::Schema->resultset("Track")->objectForUrl($BACKUPtrackURL);- it would return undef and I could catch this. Since I use SQL to set the trackrating directly in the persistent database and not -$track->rating- to *set* the rating, I'm not sure if the restore function would mind processing urls for missing tracks. Anyway, will look into it. afriend's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113344 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If a track is rated and after this is moved, renamed or deleted it will remain in track_persistent table but be removed/renamed in tracks table and this will cause the error you are seeing. LMS isnt able to keep ratings for moved, renamed or deleted tracks but its still there in the database under the old file url in the track_persistent table. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I'm not sure what the intended behavior is for the Server Settings drop down menu, but its behavior is inconsistent. I presume a single click is supposed to open the menu, and another (or an Escape) should close it. But most of the time it quickly opens, flashes 3 times, and immediately closes. Infrequently a single click will open the menu and leave it open. It seems the correct behavior is to open on a single click, and remain open until another click has selected an item, and it should close if re-clicked, or if there is an off-target click, or Escape is pressed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Ratings Light
afriend, Thanks for your quick response. It's probably something I've fouled up, so if you don't see an immediate solution don't worry about it. As long as I can rate tracks and produce playlists based on those ratings (which I am able to do) I'm AOK. So, I restarted LMS and ran a manual backup. This time I did get another backup file and it notes an additional 17 tracks that I've rated since I last produced a backup file, but still no list of tracks and their ratings. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
I know, what I mean is that in the case of Qobuz, @mherger mentioned how Qobuz has stopped sharing developer documentation with him, as they don't consider him a "big developer". And if somehow Qobuz breaks compatibility with LMS with an update or something, we're pretty much screwed. In the case of Deezer, they mentioned on their forums that they didn't see much point in trying to make FLAC work with LMS because they thought that LMS was old software not being updated anymore. I think these smaller companies like Qobuz and Deezer need to take small developers more seriously. chavezdaniel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70669 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Ratings Light
I have a question about the ratings backup file that the Ratings Light plugin is to create, either manually or automatically via a scheduled time specified by the user. After installing the Ratings Light plugin I chose the parent folder into which RL files would be saved. I then ran a manual backup, which produced the RL folder and--inside that newly-created folder--a backup file. Here are the contents of the backup file: --- --- RL states that the backup file allows one to "Backup all rated tracks (from your entire library) and their rating values in a single backup file," so I was surprised to find no tracks with ratings data in the file , particularly given that RL found 404 rated tracks. (I used to use Trackstat, but to be on the safe side I uninstalled it when I upgraded LMS to version 8.1.2. I guess the tracks that RL discovered are from Trackstat; the Now Playing screen in LMS continues to show the correct number of "stars" for tracks I have rated even though I uninstalled Trackstat, and I have run several "clear library and rescan everything" scans since then. I thought that maybe I needed to play and rate some more tunes and then run the manual backup again, maybe "waking up" the now-installed RL somehow. So I did that, and this time when I ran the manual backup, RL produced no additional backup file at all. I tried a couple of more times with the same outcome. So my questions are: How do I get RL to produce a backup file that shows my rated tracks and their ratings? How do I get RL to produce an updated version of that file every time I choose to run a manual backup? I'm grateful for the Ratings Light backup; I just need to learn how to succeed at using i radish112's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11591 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113344 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

On https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux...t/dts/overlays the "hifiberry-dacplus-overlay.dts" on I found: leds_off = <_dacplus>,"hifiberry-dacplus,leds_off?"; Then I learned to work with vi. I looged in via ssh and used m1, c1, vicfg. Then I scrolled down and opened the 'insert mode' with 'o'. Now I wrote the 'leds_off' line. With 'ESC' and ':wq!' I stopped vi. And then reboot piCore. But the led on the Amp2 remains burning! What do I wrong or forget or don't see? Their mobile apps do offer Cast. Okay... thanks for the details but what they don't know is that some passionate users can leave to other streaming services. For my part, I installed LMS at my two sons and at two friends and 3 out of 4 changed to Spotify... just to use Spotify Connect (mainly because their wives found this easier). However, they are still using LMS. Qobuz is great but this is not always enough to keep a customer alive... Well, the only folder with "Plugins" is the one I should not mess around: Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ I have been running "find . -name Plugins -print" so I'm sure I did not miss a folder. The info page of LMS mentions - Folder for Extras /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins, /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Plugins - Folder for Hilfsprogramme /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Bin, /sbin, /bin, /usr/sbin, /usr/bin, /usr/syno/sbin, /usr/syno/bin, /usr/local/sbin, /usr/local/bin, /usr/libexec, /opt/bin, /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ShairTunes2W/Bin, /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/i386-linux, /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin loopguru's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67725 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111923 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Find the folder called "Plugins" instead. Extract the .zip file in there, to get a Plugins/Spotty folder. I found a folder SqueezeCenter/Slim/Plugin which contains lots of Plugins but no Spotty. It must be the folder "Plugins" with an "s" at the end, not "Plugin". And sure, Spotty won't be in there, because you're only going to install it. - Uninstall Spotty Plugin via LMS - Create Spotty folder under Plugin/ and copy Spotty.zip content there No. Find "Plugins" and extract the zip file in there. The result must be something Plugins/Spotty/Plugins.pm etc.. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I found a folder SqueezeCenter/Slim/Plugin which contains lots of Plugins but no Spotty. So your proposal is - Uninstall Spotty Plugin via LMS - Create Spotty folder under Plugin/ and copy Spotty.zip content there Regarding Synology: They are not updating LMS anymore so it is on 7.9. And they upgraded Perl recently which breaks LMS. So I would say they don't care about LMS anymore. But Pinkdot is offering LMS distros for all Synology CPU architectures and I got my LMS from there. With the upcoming LMS7 I heard there will be more problems but I haven't tried that. Worst case I need to use LMS in Docker then, but let's see. loopguru's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67725 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111923 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Tidal plugin with big playlists (2000+)
Hi Stephan Is there something similar for the tidal plugin? Is the sourcecode of the plugin public? Unfortunately no, this is not available publicly. And I hesitate to open mysb up to do so many requests: TIDAL would only return 50 items per call. For 2000 items I'd have to call them 40x. That said, I believe that if you integrated TIDAL with your local library, that would import up to 2500 tracks per playlist. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Feature release, main changes: - Add categories when browsing into years. e.g. My Music / Years / 2021 / Genres / Hard Rock / Albums - Add basic 'swap' queue command. NOTE: This saves playlis of player A, copies B to A, then loads saved playlist into A. - Blur background images - requires browser supports backdrop-filter CSS. - Add support for 'single' URL query. When this is set, and a player name or id, is passed, then Material will only control this player and will ignore others. - Make 'Settings' menu entry open a sub-menu with specific settings. - Add 'Add to favourites' action to all dynamic playlists with a playlistid and that have a 'Play now' action. - Add back/title entry to sub-menus. - Add album list, and list of similar artists (from Last.fm) to MAI 'Artist' view. - Add track list to MAI 'Album' view. - List artist, albumartist, composer, conductor, band, year, genre, and tech info in MAI 'Track' view. - Add, server-side, option to hide volume controls for fixed volume players. - Highlight current list, or grid, item that is showing menu or which was clicked and has caused Material to fetch a new list of items. - Fix UTF-8 strings in podcast searches, by having LMS side decode XML/JSON. - Add setting to toggle alarm fade in. - Make artist, and album, details click-able links in now-playing. - Add sliders to server, etc, settings dialogs. - Add support for LMS 8.2 balanced shuffle setting. *Material debug:* 1.
