Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Ratings Light
After the import I used to refresh my virtual libraries and title formats and clear the display cache. It seems that this is not something I can do or kick off in the importer.pm. Those scanner limitations you mentioned, maybe? Whether code is in Importer.pm or some other file isn't important, as long as a feature is available in the context it's running: in the scanner you don't have the web server, no display cache etc., that's only available in the server. So I thought maybe I need to subscribe to "rescan" "done" in plugin.pm and handle it there. Sounds reasonable, yes. But it turns out the *refresh function tied to rescan done is called _twice_* after a scan. Your own refresh function? Is refreshAll() called twice or the callback for the rescan done event? ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Additional observation... when it happens, LMS thinks it's playing for about 10 seconds, then the play bar resets to 0:00 and music starts, but then the skipping begins and continues every few seconds. Pulling my hair out here... I've been running LMS + Spotty for a year and it's been pretty much rock solid. As of yesterday, with no known system changes to either LMS or my players, occasional Spotify songs are "stuttering"/hiccuping. Basically playback will stop for a few seconds every 10-15 seconds and then resume. Happens more when players are synch'd, and this can/does cause synch'd players to go out of sync. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] is there a Twitch Plugin?
I'm also interested in getting support for the audio component of Twitch.tv streams into LMS. DJ streams on Twitch have exploded over the last year, and it's often a pain to wait for a TV + Chromecast to 'boot up' when LMS is running 24/7 in every room. Is there a plugin which will simply execute a command on the LMS and expect it to spit out an MP3 or AAC stream on its stdout ? I want to use the existing 'livestreamer' https://docs.livestreamer.io/cli.html tool which already supports both Twitch and an 'audio only' mode and am happy to try to shoehorn it in via some kind of 'execute external command with parameter 'Username'' No point in reinventing the wheel! Thanks, for the effort, but I am still not able to get the Naim FLAC streams to play on an Echo Show 10 using any of the URL's listed in https://www.hiresaudio.online/naim-radio. These URL's clearly meet your criterion of having FLAC in their names, so should work like the Radio Paradise ones. The Naim FLAC URL's correctly stream using SqueezePlay, a SB3 and in a web browser, so are OK URL's for Naim. What URL's are you using for the 3 FLAC streams? It may help you to know that the Show says the stream is playing, but there is no sound and the screen is the one for MP3 playback. raglencross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7239 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

So not sure at this point where you stand. You may be correct in that there are some lingering registry settings. It is complicated by the way the Store apps work. A store app will copy registry settings from the actual registry into its own virtual registry. The uninstall should have removed the registry settings, but not sure what happened. If you have uninstalled the store app and are back to the legacy app, you should see the latest there. Old versions are in a sub-folder. I have considered adding code to the Store app to detect and uninstall the legacy app, but never got around to it, perhaps I should. You can reset the app and the registry settings, by going into Squeezelite-X settings, enabling Debug options (Pressing Ctrl-Shift-D in older versions) and enabling Reset All, and press Apply. 34682 +---+ |Filename: Screenshot 2021-05-13 103523.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34682| +---+ Squeezelite-X rgdawson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I wasn't even aware that was possible? Or might there be some unprintable character which I can't see in MP3Tag? - The data is almost the same, but if analyzed with v1.8.1b the tag MUSICMAGIC DATA is shorter than the corresponding one obtained via v1.96b. I would take a copy of 100 files, wipe the MIP tags and scan them under 1.8, then compare the tags against the 1.96b and check the differences. It might just be the tag name (similar to how it is different for FLAC vs mp3) however if the actual fingerprint is different then I'm not sure what you can do other than rescan them using the Windows 1.8 version. When I scan it doesn't find LMS (I know it's running) and it still doesn't connect after I enter the server address 192.164.1.64 Squeezer is working fine on my Android phone and my wife's Huawei tablet both on Android 8. Any suggestions? anotherbob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114572 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?
Test report: RPi, Raspbian "stretch", LMS 8.2 nightly of late April, Mixcloud plugin 0.6 from repo, hardware Boom or Classic. Tested with ca. 10 random mixes. I am sorry to report that mixcloud playback crashes silently about 10-30 minutes into any mix. Silently in the sense there is no trace in the logs. Playback just stops and the player display says "STOPPED". For me, it is just like the earlier versions. burbie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69996 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88286 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X

However, the 2.7.21 SLX behaves very strangely when trying to key in some settings (choice of server name, material skin, buttons 'on' etc): first there is no default player in the player field (should have at least 'Squeezelite-X'), plus the new settings cannot be saved, they keep getting re-initialized to their default values (e.g. no way to keep material skin on), and an error msg appears when filling in the 'player' field.. Going back to your 'legacy' version: works perfectly (after adjusting settings). Too bad the Squeezlite version is from last year. I suspect the 2.7 failure may be due to surviving registry keys after the legacy version deletion. Any further suggestion please ? Thanks ! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Musly DSTM Mixer (mix by similarity)

Just to let you know, Musly has a 'bug' (https://github.com/dominikschnitzer/musly/issues/43) where sometimes all songs get the same similarity score. I noticed this last night after I did a complete rescan. My mixer produced odd results, and they were all from the first artist/albums (ordered A-Z). I looked at the logging and all tracks had the same similarity. This was with using 2000 for 'styletracks', I also tried 1500 and had similar results. Using 1000 (which is the default anyway) seemed to work OK. Changing 'styletracks' requires the jukebox file to be removed, but this only takes a minute or so to be recreated. Thought you might like to know in case you are getting really weird results. *Material debug:* 1. Not sure why there would be. When the app is not visible (e.g. phone off, using another app) the WebView is paused, so should use no CPU. Android will also kill the app if it neeeds the memory. edwin2006 wrote: > Another thing is that despite having select mute current player at > incoming call it does not mute [emoji53] I've seen it where it has paused on receiving a call but not unpaused afterwards. I meant to look into this before making a release, but forgot. To be honest its not a feature I use, or even see the need for, so I'm tempted to just remove it. *Material debug:* 1.
