Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.5 - improved Ogg direct, Autoplay, multi-user setup
Yes, I had the "Spotty ARM Legacy helper" plugin installed before and all was working fine (before the latest Spotty update). Ah, ok. Then let's go back to this and try to figure out why that would not work any more. There's no reason why the helper update would have broken this, as the legacy helper plugin is overriding the default helper. Please get rid of whatever other helper plugin you've installed and install the "ARM Legacy Helper" again. Then enable logging for plugin.spotty, do some stuff, and come back with a description of what you tried, what failed, and send me the server.log.zip to https://www.dropbox.com/request/T3RctyzGgNg0oFDubq6a (but don't forget to order a Pi - LMS on Synology is the end) ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Alternatively, is there a way for me to roll back to the latest stable version of Spotty, then deactivate auto-update and run the thing with the helper application for ARMv6/7? That's basically what the additional helper plugin does: it replaces the new helper with the old one. But make sure it's selected in Settings/Advanced/Spotty. Hi, thanks for your reply. My collection has hundreds of 24-bit LP rips I have made over the last several years. not to mention bluray dvd hdtracks etc. To recode these to 16/44 would be a daunting task! All of the files have been analyzed using MusicIP 1.9 on windows10, as my understanding was this would be the only way to obtain the necessary fingerprints at the outset. So anyway. For now I have fired up the same MusicIP 1.9 on a dedicated windows 10 with a full library and have enabled Spicefly Dynamic path conversion to cooperate with a linux-based LMS. just got it working.. will see how it goes. best waltonb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73988 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
If you ask to play or stream an album/compilation/single and you get the album name correct but the artist wrong, the skill always pointed out who the correct artist was and offered to play it anyway via a yes/no. Provided there was only one artist match - if there were matches for >1 artists, you were just told the artist/album combo you asked for could not be found and that was it. You had to scratch your head and rethink who it was who has that album... ? A small change just implemented means that if the number of artist matches is >1 but <6, the names of those artists are mentioned in the response so as to jog your memory. The upper limit is there to prevent you hearing a list of 50 artists read out when you ask for an album called 'Greatest Hits' or 'Live' because that defeats the purpose of a hint. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The way it will work with the APK is that the skin (web app) will send the APK a list of track details (id, title, artist, album, etc). The APK will then download the track, and attempt to create the relevant folder structure within Android 'Music' folder. And also download cover-art, which the plain browser method will not do. Well, that's the idea anyway, I need to actually implement it... Also, the currently implemented method will *not* work with the APK - as it does not handle downloading files.
