In the context of Squeeze Ctrl and SB Player, if the app's controls are in the notification panel then the app is running. If not it is closed. Redrum wrote: > Anyhow, what I would like to do is this. I would like to launch SB > Player when I open Squeeze Ctrl. I would like to "close" SB Player when > Squeeze Ctrl is "closed". But, having said that, if I use the squeeze > ctrl widget, when does it actually stop running? If you enable Auto Launch and set "Close SB Player when the app exits" to "Always", then it should do what you want. Pressing connect on the widget will launch the app in the background and pressing the 'X' will close it. The app launching capability of SB Player is more meant for launching music visualizers or other controller apps, but some people do use it to launch Squeeze Ctrl. -- Squeezebox apps for Android and Windows UWP, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

There is a volume feedback loop so that when you change it on the player, it is reflected in LMS. Then of course when you set volume from LMS, the volume changes on the player and that triggers the feedback mechanisms (there are safeguards or avoid an echo loops). Unfortunately, some players have strange behavior and when instructed to set 40, they will set 41.5 (in your case) and the feedback loop will do its job and ´equalize both volume data. It does not end badly (like race to 100%) because of the feedback protection. LMS 8.2 on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3. Fine-tooth comb stuff. - Mouse-over expand on Settings instead of click-to-expand - General Player settings: Color Palette instead of the 18 color choices - Take "Save as default" and "Revert to default" out of the [three dots] in Interface settings [seems hidden]..instead show them in the menu. - Player settings menu, instead of saying 'Configuration' on the wrench button say "Go to player UI" [more descriptive] - Player settings menu, remove the "Extra settings" and "Configuration" from the three dots because they are already in the menu - Information menu, player IP address to have the same function as the "Configuration" button by taking you to the player UI [when applicable] - Other menu navigation arrows, if selecting the 'arrow' takes you to the Home Screen change to "Home Icon" instead of arrow BTW, plugin updates no longer trigger the green-update arrow on the main screen. I can "Save as default" in Interface Settings, is it possible to also Save a player as the Default? I understand saving as default in Interface settings is browser dependent [which is great], just so happens certain browsers also control certain players under normal conditions...saving a player as default would be great. edwardthern's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66099 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.6 - sorting option for Albums/Artists/Songs, replay gain fix
Hi, I tried this for several years and had... I had it working for a week some years ago (as I remembered it working in one of the earlier builds for QLMS, it might also be tied to when I changed my FW/Router setup about the same time). I'm running LMS and spotty from a QNAP nas. I'm using QLMS solution that works great for this, except I can't figure out how to setup local sharing of players for Spotty. I understand that avahi or Bonjour is involved some in announcing the player on the network. I just lately found a Service Discovery feature in my QNAP, which actually had the Banjour settings (probably why I haven't found it, as I was looking for banjour and not Service discovery). Any way, there are a few settings that comes with it, I can first of enable/disable Bonjour (it is, and have been enabled), I also have some other service like SAMBA, NAS , SSH etc that are enabled as well. As I don't have any mac stuff I have disabled AFP and some other service I don't use FTP and HTTPS. Is there something else I should look into? Do I need to enable some other services in my router/switch for this? I have a simple setup with discrete units for FW/router, Switch, AP and no special things setup (no enabling or disabling of services) NAS: QNAP TS-459U+ QTS 4.2.6 (4x 2TB, RAID5) Services: LMS 8.1.0 by QLMS 2.21.00 'QLMS at QNAP club' (https://www.qnapclub.eu/sv/qpkg/545) Squeezebox: 6x Receiver, 3x Boom, 2x SB3 Classic, 1x Touch Controller: Control by Material skin or iPeng, Local music or Spotify by Spotty jasell's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17817 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114836 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
