Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
Dear all, I am running LMS 8.2 on a PiCorePlayer. I updated my four radios to Firmware 8.0.1-r16867. I have a similar problem as descibed before. My WiFi turns off during the night and turns on in the early morning again. Two of my radios do not reconnect to the WiFi automatically. I have to search my network, select it and reconnect. This works fine, but the two other radios and the Touch do not have this issue. Is there a way to fix this? If not, I will leave my WiFi running during the nighttime. Everything else works fine. Thanks for developing the Community Firmware. I can give you detailed instructions and upload the files as an attachment. I can't really test it myself except to make sure it doesn't break anything with the older AVR's, which I have already done. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Testers - Accuradio LMS plugin
The Accuradio applet from MySqueezebox doesn't seem to work anymore and after looking at Accuradio site they now seem to play M4A stream so an LMS plugin may be easiest way to deliver access. Caveats: - There will be a clash of names with MySqueezebox Accuradio applet, so only install this plugin if there is no Accuradio menu item with a yellow icon, this plugin has the purple Accuradio logo. - There is an issue with streaming Accuradio M4A with LMS. It looks like a M4A issue. A patched version of Slim/Formats/Movie.pm for 8.3.1 (after Sept) is attached. The patch will not work for other LMS versions as m4A code changes in 8.3.* The main reason for testing is to see if the M4A patch doesn't break any other source of M4A streaming. I have tested with for some M4A podcast but I can't find other streaming M4A sources. I thought Tidal used M4A but it seems to only stream Flac now. If you have removed things manually, then all the row-IDs need to be recalculated. The easiest way would be to move a music fiel out of your music folder, rescan with music-similarity, move the track back into the music folder, and re-scan again. When music-similarity detects a track has been removed, it copies all of the 'tracks' table to 'tracks_tmp' and then back-again - this causes al row IDs to be recalculated, and the jukebox recreated. *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi all. Was sent here from the LMS forum. Basically, I'm trying to get LMS on my Mac to wirelessly connect with my Onkyo TX-8160 receiver via the bridge. The performance isn't right, and I'm sure it needs tweaking in the settings...but I'm just not getting the grasp of things in the User Guide. I'm hoping someone has experience with Onkyo equipment. These are my issues/questions: 1. I'd like the volume to be controlled by the Onkyo, not LMS. Ideally, I'd like a fixed volume out of LMS, controllable at the Onkyo. If not possible, I'd at least like the two to accurately reflect the same volume. As it stands, the synch between the two is off. For example, LMS Volume says "30", Onkyo says "18". They're constantly fighting with each other. Which setting and where can accomplish this? 2. I hit play on a song in LMS, song appears to start playing, not audible in the Onkyo. If I move the playhead to the middle of the song, 3-4 seconds later it becomes audible in the Onkyo. Then at the end of the song, the next track doesn't play. It appears "stuck" at the end of the current track. Any setting or solution to that? 3. What is the function of the Power Button in LMS where the tracks play? I accidentally clicked on that button in the middle of a track and my Onkyo's volume immediately pinned to 100. Guessing that should always be "On"? I've got screenshots of my settings as they currently are, if that will help. Answering part of OPs question. Airplay 1 is 16/44.1 so if you send something thats 24/96 from your iOS device to a Pi its 16/44.1 only. In my experience the non appearance of apps occurs in two scenarios 1) your LMS cannot communicate with MySB.com for some reason or 2) you have no player associated with the instance of LMS you are looking at Jim https://jukeradio.double6.net VB2.4[/B] STORAGE *QNAP TS419P (NFS) [B]Living Room* Joggler & Pi4/Khadas -> Onkyo TXNR686 -> Celestion F20s *Office* Joggler & Pi3 -> Denon RCD N8 -> Celestion F10s *Dining Room* SB Radio *Bedroom (Bedside)* Pi Zero+DAC ->ToppingTP21 ->AKG Headphones *Bedroom (TV) & Bathroom* SB Touch ->Denon AVR ->Mordaunt Short M10s + Kef ceiling speakers *Guest Room* Joggler > Topping Amp -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes d6jg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115696 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Music Similarity DSTM mixer
I want the high-level analysis that is only available from the Linux-based Essentia. Lacking a Linux system (beyond my music-playing and serving Pis), I am using Windows 10 that has Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) installed; WSL allows Windows users to run Linux -natively- within Windows. Noticing that Craig uses Ubuntu, I chose Ubuntu 20.4 (from the Microsoft Store). So far so good. Next, I configured Ubuntu to mount a network drive and then edited config.json with the paths for music-similarity. I ran the analyse feature and here's the output. Things looks fine until Failed to open Musly shared library. The file is present and executable (shown below). Sorry I cannot help much because I'm not a Spotify user myself. The name on the home menu would not matter. I have toyed with playing Spotify playlists though when developing things. They show up as e.g. "Spotify: Bryan Adams" when I ask to List Playlists. If I just say "*Play *my Bryan Adams *playlist*", the skill will check all playlists (local, spotify, deezer, ...) for something called Bryan Adams and if more that one item matched, local LMS would 'win'. If you use the "*Fetch *Bryan Adams" syntax, it makes sure there's only a match in Spotify items and ignores LMS local stuff. That might help at least with playlists. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Music Similarity DSTM mixer
As discussed with @cpd73 It turns out the issue I had was down to my database file not containing all required meta fields, which was adversely impacting the matching and causing the majority of tracks to be disregarded. This was likely caused by my use of incorrect parameters when running the analysis script. My speculative explanation of the mixing behaviour was that the missing data meant it was unable to identify the best matches, so instead I ended up with a selection from the tail end of the database... but having re-run the analysis to add the missing meta fields, it's back to working well again. mruddo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115609 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The 'PSRSTR MED' command that I had you try for testing purposes earlier turns the restorer function back on, which you obviously don't want to do at this point. If you are playing the general http/MP3 or the R3only http/AAC stream which can be played directly by the player then the player has to be in the VPN bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Music Similarity DSTM mixer
I don't think it's that. I've generally been testing the results, and did again just now.. Code: M:\My Music\MusicSimilarity>.\music-similarity\music-similarity.py --log-level INFO --test 2022-01-10 09:08:11 I Testing musly 2022-01-10 09:08:15 I Loaded 30962 tracks 2022-01-10 09:08:15 I Musly returned 50 different similarities for 50 tracks Test ended at 9:08:15.88 on 10/01/2022 I've also just deleted and re-built the Jukebox (by running the test without one), and I still see the same behaviour. I'm wondering if it's got something to do with the size of the database now? I did not notice such issues with the smaller sample library, but it's almost as if it's now only selecting from a sub-set of any results. mruddo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115609 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Music Similarity DSTM mixer
mruddo wrote: > Just an update on mixes though - as a trend I've noticed seems to > indicate a bias towards artists at the tail end of the alphabet. As stated on the 'music-similarity github page' (https://github.com/CDrummond/music-similarity), Musly has a 'bug' (https://github.com/dominikschnitzer/musly/issues/43) where all songs can get the same score. Hence why I added a *--test* commandline switch to music-similairty to test the Musly analysis. If this fails it usually just means recreating the jukebox. Passing *--repeat* will cause the test code to delete the jukebox on failure, recreate, and re-test until OK. This -might- not be your issue, but is worth checking. The order that the tracks are processed depends on the similarity order from Musly - my code simply iterates the list of tracks returned by Musly and applies some filtering. *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Music Similarity DSTM mixer
Thanks for the info... I'll experiment a little more with exclusions when I can. Just an update on mixes though - as a trend I've noticed seems to indicate a bias towards artists at the tail end of the alphabet. My music is stored in folders by Artist then Album. So my analysis database is primarily organized A-Z with with "Various" covering compilations towards the end. (Not sure if the same applies to the Jukebox.) What I've noticed is that I'm getting a lot of tracks from the the last few letters. e.g. if I start a mix from... Code: Lana Del Rey - W, Z, V, W, W Tom Petty - W, V, Y, R, W, b ABBA - V, V, Y, V, V Chvrches - g, T, Z, W, Y DMA's - V, W, Y Jenny Lewis - W, V, S, V, W Ludwig van Beethoven - J, g, V, V, V Manic Street Preachers - W, Y Rolling Stones - Y, V, Y, b, W Weezer - W, V, Y, Y Obviously these are just one set of sample mixes - that I just generated while typing this post, but the trend is apparent in most - as I especially noticed a number of albums at with Various artists or Z artists coming up again and again. (I don't have many artists starting with "Z", so it becomes quite obvious.) As it's timbre based, the starting letter of the chosen artist should be relevant, but I picked a few random ones that demonstrate a reasonable variety of styles. In almost all cases above, "V" is "Various". Interestingly the 'g' and 'b' are unusal in that they're both lower case - so that could be a clue as to any sort being applied to result sets here. Most of my artists are capitalised, but there are a few exceptions. mruddo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115609 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
