Hi all,
I had missed updating one of the plugin version numbers (I said it'd been a
while) and I think that was causing the plugin to think it was still out of

I've updated the version on my website.
Nice to know people are still using it!

I actually had a problem track myself at the weekend so maybe this might be
relevant;
I had a track with no album set in iTunes, but the mp3 itself contained ID3v1.1

The album was then showing up in SlimServer and breaking the plugin's search of

That does imply some sort of discrepancy between the MP3 tags that SlimServer
is reading and the meta-data that iTunes is using. Do you see anything
obviously wrong when you look the Get Info screens in iTunes? Maybe different

James
The first track has accented characters so I'm not really surprised it wasn't

But the 2nd looks pretty simple - what happens if you type

Into the search box in iTunes itself? That's essentially what the plugin does
to find the tracks...
James
OK so the problem is with Mac::AppleScript::Glue.
I don't have a Mac so I can't really help with this, but maybe someone else can?

iTunesUpdate doesn't use the iTunes library file, it communicates directly with
the iTunes application.
It can only do this on Windows or OSX.
Instructions for using iTunesUpdate on LINUX are in the plugin's readme file.
James
I would guess that you don't have perl installed on your Mac?
Or maybe one needs to explicitly call perl on the script e.g.
perl ./iTunesUpdate.pl /Volumes/media/Music/Playlists/iTunes_Hist.txt
I'm not really a Mac expert though.
James
/media should be where the files are on the NAS device. The script only checks
that the end of the Mac path matches, so the leading /Volumes shouldn't be an
issue.
The problem looks like the missing value thing - is that what actually
appears? It should be the path to the file on the Mac.
Looks like the tracks object has changed in 7.4 and the plugin needs updating.
I am not keeping up with 7.4 so can't say when that will be!
