Paul Have you given any thought to adding '7 day catch-up' service from the main channels as seen in the Virgin and Global plug-ins? Yes, an hour of GHR equates to 40 mins talk/music and 20 mins of adverts. That ratio changes dramatically after 7pm because the big advert spend has gone on Drivetime. Same in the morning with Mark Goodyear. However good entertainment if you can see beyond that. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Pre-announce Planet Radio / Bauer Media plugin - PlanetRock, Absolute, Kiss, Scala ++
GHR is a national station with regional adverts, news and traffic. They also have to, by their licence, broadcast some content that is purely regional. This used to be the Drivetime slot 4 - 7PM but as that has been handed over to Simon Mayo the regional shows are now 1 - 4pm. There may be other instances. Simon Mayo back on Drivetime has been a huge coup for GHR and millions of disenchanted Radio 2 listeners have switched loyalty as he is such a stellar presenter. I search for the links with the highest quality and the one I am using is a paltry 112 kbps whilst some of the other links are down at 48kbps. Ditto. Upgraded two Radio's and a Controller (twice as another version was released) without problems. Have you considered getting SqueezeCtrl certified for Android TV and boxes? I am sure many people would like to use SB on their TV's and be able to control it with their remotes. It is mostly there bar a couple of things (missing highlights and higher contrast highlights for a 10 foot interface). Using a TV remote is easier than using a mobile. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
I have found a small (but annoying) bug. I use the app on an Nvidia Shield and I can happily report the TV remote allows me to navigate around the app with selections highlighted. In the Favourites section however there is no highlight although I can still use the remote relying on guesswork and intuition. Looks like the highlights got missed from this section. Also is there an option that will close or mute SB Player when I start viewing a video, rather than having to pause manually? When I tried SqueezePlayer it closed down when another app took control. Thanks. Great apps by the way! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Does anyone experience this at certain times of day? I get re-buffering on the FLAC main stream for about an hour between 2 and 6 pm UK time (time varies by day). At first I thought it was due to either BT running routine testing or congestion somewhere in the network but I can run speed tests or download video during this time without problem. My theory is that it has something to do with server load as the US West coast comes alive. Switching to MP3 solves it and then I can go back to FLAC after an hour or so. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
At the moment the only buffering of the RP FLAC stream on my system occurs at between approximately 15:00 and 16:00 UK time. I revert to the 320k stream which is not affected and then nip back to FLAC at about 17:00 when everything is back to normal. Running a speed test during that time shows my normal download rate of 70 Mbps. If you have sync'd your music to Amazon Drive Alexa will play from there. Voice commands work like Amazon Music e.g. "Alexa, play The Beatles from John's music". I have used named artists along with 'shuffle'. If it can't find an artist in your Library it will go to Amazon Music. I have tried my zipcode (55322) for the city and I have also typed in my city and state (Cologne, MN). Neither one of these work. I went to the Wunderground website, but that did not give me any help what to put in these boxes. Will this be all the information I need to get this to work? Please help. Thank you. bvollrath Normally the plugin just needs to be dropped (copied) into the SC plugin folder. Stop and restart SC and it will appear under 'settingsplugins'. The information you need is at Wunderground. Type in your location and it will give you the local weather. In the box on the left hand side 'Current Conditions' there is a drop down 'Select Source for Current Conditions' and after the location name is a four letter code e.g. Glencoe, MN (KGYL). That is the code the Weathertime Plugin requires. Add it, stop, restart SC and go to 'PlayerScreensaver when stopped' and select Weather, Date , Time. Done. At the moment there is a bug if you are running SC7.2 but it works fine with SC7.1. The editing of the XML file (open it for editing in Notepad) is to do with version numbers and is not normally required. -- Heuer Heuer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2543 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21989 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

As others have reported I found Weathertime does not work with 7.1 (incorrect version) so I edited the install.xml to show max version as 7.1. Unfortunately this screws up 'Random Mix' in that although SC allows me to choose genres the options to select 'Random Artists', 'Random Songs' etc have disappeared. Shame as I had become to rely on Weathertime, but Random Mix is more important to me. Trust you will find a fix to this superb plugin soon.
