Thanks Paul. I have emailed BluesFLAC to alert them to the issue. I
updated to the .18a version after posting and also updated to the latest
8.3 beta. So far there are no error messages relating to the Radio Now
Playing plugin but i will keep watching. I will post the Planet Radio
error message (still happening) in the appropriate thread

Just started getting lots of error messages in the log file together
with OMR station stopping. There are also a couple of error messages
relating to the Planet Radio plugin.

Also is anyone hearing a loud hum on RadioBlues above the music playing?

Hi Paul

Any chgance you could add Offshore Music Radio?
http://www.offshoremusicradio.com/#

They list artist name and song on their web site and have artwork but it
does not show in LMS. They also have a 192kbps stream.

Thanks

David

Is/will there be an option to only show the highest bitrate version of

Hi Paul

Running latest beta on LMS on Windows but not seeing any art work on any
RNP stations. Track and artist is displayed and station logo. Sometimes,
when switching between stations, I see the art work but it is replaced
immediately by the station logo.

Just a station glitch - I get it sometimes but once they realise it is
happening it gets fixed. I also have come across instances of complete
silence for an hour or so. I just tune into something else a revist

Paul

Have you given any thought to adding '7 day catch-up' service from the
main channels as seen in the Virgin and Global plug-ins? The GHR
catch-up streams are advert free, so a three hour show becomes a two
hour with just the music and presenter. I would be happy to time shift
and gain an hour of my life!

Yes, an hour of GHR equates to 40 mins talk/music and 20 mins of
adverts. That ratio changes dramatically after 7pm because the big
advert spend has gone on Drivetime. Same in the morning with Mark
Goodyear. However good entertainment if you can see beyond that.

GHR is a national station with regional adverts, news and traffic. They
also have to, by their licence, broadcast some content that is purely
regional. This used to be the Drivetime slot 4 - 7PM but as that has
been handed over to Simon Mayo the regional shows are now 1 - 4pm. There
may be other instances. Simon Mayo back on Drivetime has been a huge
coup for GHR and millions of disenchanted Radio 2 listeners have
switched loyalty as he is such a stellar presenter.

I search for the links with the highest quality and the one I am using
is a paltry 112 kbps whilst some of the other links are down at 48kbps.

Ditto. Upgraded two Radio's and a Controller (twice as another version
was released) without problems. I was getting worried as I did not do a
factory reset as suggested on any of them before switching the
'download' on in LMS. When I rebooted the devices they went straight
into the upgrade menu with no apparent way out! No harm done though.

Thanks - yes SP Player does stop when other audio starts. Have you
considered getting SqueezeCtrl certified for Android TV and boxes? I am
sure many people would like to use SB on their TV's and be able to
control it with their remotes. It is mostly there bar a couple of things
(missing highlights and higher contrast highlights for a 10 foot
interface). Using a TV remote is easier than using a mobile. At the
moment I am using Emby Media Server to play both video and music but it
is nowhere near as good as SB for the latter.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android

2020-04-15 Thread Heuer

I have found a small (but annoying) bug. I use the app on an Nvidia
Shield and I can happily report the TV remote allows me to navigate
around the app with selections highlighted. In the Favourites section
however there is no highlight although I can still use the remote
relying on guesswork and intuition. Looks like the highlights got missed
from this section.

Also is there an option that will close or mute SB Player when I start
viewing a video, rather than having to pause manually? When I tried
SqueezePlayer it closed down when another app took control.

Thanks. Great apps by the way!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)

2019-06-12 Thread Heuer

I am getting failures on the new FLAC stream. This starts with a stutter
for 3 seconds, music comes back for 3 seconds and then stops completely.
This happens on both Boom and SB3:

Spoke too soon - stuttering started at 8:30 pm UK time last night.

Been using the interactive stream for the last four days on both SB3 and

Been listening to the original LMS FLAC stream all day and not a single

It still happen's in the afternoon (UK time) but I noticed no problem at
all on Saturday's and Sunday's suggesting it has something to do with
demand on the RP servers. During weekdays the stuttering lasts for about
10 minutes in the hour but there is no discernible pattern other than it
happens regularly.

Does anyone experience this at certain times of day? I get re-buffering
on the FLAC main stream for about an hour between 2 and 6 pm UK time
(time varies by day). At first I thought it was due to either BT running
routine testing or congestion somewhere in the network but I can run
speed tests or download video during this time without problem. My
theory is that it has something to do with server load as the US West
coast comes alive. Switching to MP3 solves it and then I can go back to
FLAC after an hour or so.

At the moment the only buffering of the RP FLAC stream on my system
occurs at between approximately 15:00 and 16:00 UK time. I revert to the
320k stream which is not affected and then nip back to FLAC at about
17:00 when everything is back to normal. Running a speed test during
that time shows my normal download rate of 70 Mbps.

Great plugin and good to have 'chance of rain' back. If you are going to
make any further changes you might want to consider getting the display
to default back to 'today' after say 15 seconds. Can cause confusion if
someone has left it displaying a few days ahead.

Normally the plugin just needs to be dropped (copied) into the SC
plugin folder. Stop and restart SC and it will appear under
'settingsplugins'. The information you need is at Wunderground. Type
in your location and it will give you the local weather. In the box on
the left hand side 'Current Conditions' there is a drop down 'Select
Source for Current Conditions' and after the location name is a four
letter code e.g. Glencoe, MN (KGYL). That is the code the Weathertime
Plugin requires. Add it, stop, restart SC and go to 'PlayerScreensaver
when stopped' and select Weather, Date , Time. Done.

At the moment there is a bug if you are running SC7.2 but it works fine
with SC7.1. The editing of the XML file (open it for editing in Notepad)
is to do with version numbers and is not normally required.

 Hi everybody,

I finally managed to package a new version. What's new?

 * Chance of precipitation is back! (Wunderground started to provide
this information in its XML feed lately).
 * Squeezecenter 7.1 users no longer need to edit the install.xml file.
 * Various translation contributions for French and Dutch localization
 where merged in.

 Grab it as usual from

Great work and many thanks!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New WeatherTime Screensaver adds graphical forecasts

2008-08-01 Thread Heuer

As others have reported I found Weathertime does not work with 7.1
(incorrect version) so I edited the install.xml to show max version
as 7.1. Unfortunately this screws up 'Random Mix' in that although SC
allows me to choose genres the options to select 'Random Artists',
'Random Songs' etc have disappeared. Shame as I had become to rely on
Weathertime, but Random Mix is more important to me. Trust you will
find a fix to this superb plugin soon.

Superb job! My wife was really upset when the clowns as Weather.com
yanked the feed (strange business model - alienating your customers!).
I am a huge fan of wunderground anyway - my weather station acts as a
feed to their network.

I will be certain to unsubscribe from the other lot to hammer home the
point.
